Bought some tyres and were cheaper than other places but took about a week to be delivered when should of been 3 days. Communication was c**p don't bother getting in touch with you. They did end hold up there end of the deal which is what counts

Bike arrived in good time but without any instructions in the box or the tools that I read usually come with the purchase.

PROS: Bike is nice. Comfy Smooth ride. CONS: 4 Week wait (Covid 19...) Some of the Mango detailing has peeled off, bit cheap. Other than that, I'd say an ok overall experience with Mango.

I found Mango Bikes online whilst searching for a 'first' bike after around 10 years of not being on one. The extensive customisation options was certainly the biggest appeal and the 48 hour despatch time seemed brilliant! Unfortunately, it took around 4 weeks to receive the full order in the end with lots of backwards and forwards with email communication. Eventually, the bikes arrived and I must say they were very well packaged to protect the bikes and assembly was very easy. My bike is now known locally as the LEGO bike and I love it! It's a smooth ride (a little tender on the bottom but I'll put that down to not having ridden a bike in 10 years) Andrew offered us 10% discount on ordering and also threw in lights for both bikes. Overall, I'm impressed with the bikes but the customer service could do with some work.

Bike: Looks fantastic, rides well. Easily assembled. Price: Very Reasonable - one of the more affordable Single Speed bikes on the market compared to other Single/Fixed gear brands. Delivery: Bike took 3 weeks to arrive. To those complaining that their bike did not arrive in estimated time - use some common sense? We are in a global pandemic, with courier services experiencing delays and WFH measures put in place. There has also been an increased demand for bikes during this time - combination of good weather and more free time. Additionally, the bike is custom built! Employees may be off sick, there may be less working due to social distancing measures, meaning less output and longer wait times. It was obvious my bike was never going to arrive as fast as it usually would. I waited patiently and received my bike in perfect condition. Why knock 2 Star off? 1. I ordered 2 spare inner tubes which were not included with my package. I have emailed Mango and awaiting response (2 days). 2. I agree with other customers that posting Social Media content, yet failing to respond to customers within 24 hours, is not particularly good customer service.

I'm writing this review after riding my new Mango bike for 1 week. The review is just on the bike and not the customer service (sketchy at best). I am a keen road cyclist and own some expensive bikes, but wanted something cheap to ride around town and with my family. My wife owns a decathlon btwin 500 singlespeed (£200) so will be comparing it to this. I have ridden both so will be able to give fair comparison. The frame and forks look very similar, although the mango bike comes in a much wider variety of colours. The paint finish on the btwin is better though. The wheels and tyres on the btwin are far superior. The days of narrow rims on road bikes are over I'm afraid. The wider rims and tyres on the btwin greatly improve the ride quality without affecting speed. The tyres on the mango were terrible and I quickly changed these to something decent which improved the ride quality, whilst reducing weight too. The other components on the bikes are pretty similar and work fine. They even have the same freewheel gear (44-18), although the btwin doesn't have a fixed sprocket on its flip flop hub so you would need to buy one, if you wanted to ride it fixed. Overall I like my Mango bike. It looks good, rides ok, but feel it is let down a bit by the wheels and tyres. It is also overpriced, especially when comparing it to the btwin. Decathlon is obviously a massive company with greater buying power, but £355 is a lot more than £200. If it was £300 I'd probably have given it 4 stars. My wife obviously gave the btwin 5, and I can see why it is rated so highly, and can see why it's out of stock!!!

Received my bike in great time - only 4 days after I ordered it. Absolutely love the bike! Unfortunately the frame had a chip in it which I reported to mango. I was told to email and that it would be sorted, so I emailed over photos. I am still waiting to hear back. Also when trying o build the bike there were no Instructions provided. When trying to attach the front wheel, I had to go out and purchase pliers as the tools I was sent lost it’s tension so wouldn’t work. This has resulted in the nuts getting scratched as it was screwed together so tightly. A little let down from what had been a great purchase.

Ordered my bike and accessories end of December, shipping and delivery was quick and easy. Bike assembly was straight forward even if the saddle post was very tight to fit. However, the mud guards were much more difficult. There was no instructions on how to be able to fit them and wasn’t until I called customer services that I found out both the front and the back brakes had to be removed from the bike to be then strew the mud guards into place which was a fiddly task. They have videos on YouTube of how to assemble the bike so one for mud guards would be very beneficial. They also do not tell you that the rear guard has to be cable tied to bike frame to stop it rubbing on your rear wheel which isn’t ideal and personally I think it makes it look like a bodge job. Not only was there this inconvenience, but the plug that goes in the end of the handle bars was damaged and fell straight out when I took it out the box. I contacted customer services who said they would post it, along with the bike cleaner I ordered that I didn’t receive. It’s now the 8th January, so 2 months later, and I still haven’t received the plug or the bike cleaner I paid for and no one is answering my emails!! To add to this, my puncture resistant tyre that I paid extra for keeps going flat, so I suspect there is a puncture...

Happy? Not really. When I stumbled across Mango Bikes I was so impressed with the custom made feature and by email, spoke with sales who were very helpful and filled me with confidence. The full priced bikes were on offer with 25% discount - can’t go wrong eh? My order was placed on Weds 18/12 and everything I read indicated a 2 day build and 2 day delivery and a chance for a Xmas delivery however the build lead time was more like 7 working days, and the delivery 3/4 days. The bike was dispatched on 31/12 from Ireland and after a few days it was confirmed delivery would be Monday 6/1, today. Although everything has been much slower than anticipated what I didn’t expect was my delivery to be split and only the pedals, reflector and spanners to be delivered today and to be told the second part won’t be with me till tomorrow, 7/1. I’m so fed up with Mango bikes! I’ve waited and taken time off so soon in the new year only to have to organise it all again for tomorrow. Although Mango have been slower than I wanted, their Irish courier company have been very helpful, however their UK counterpart are an absolute joke! I will stick with Halfords in the future. Saying this, I’ve not seen the bike yet and I maybe pleasantly surprised - I hope so.

Other than a 2 week+ wait to get my Custom SS if i was writing this review in the first week of ownership I would give my Mango 4 stars. It’s a fun, cheap, nimble bike with good gearing and perfect for my daily commute. Which I actually look forward to riding. HOWEVER... After 1 week of use (yes ONE!!!) the Freewheel started making the occasional clunk, at first I didn’t really think anything of it. The clunk then became more regular, then freewheel failed totally. As I put down pressure the freewheel slipped, the cranks just span (I fell forward onto the bars) and the bike went nowhere (pretty dangerous in Rush hour traffic). Although a bit of back pedalling sorted the problem something was obviously very wrong... After ONE week!!! On closer inspection the Freewheel sounded very rough and I could hear the bearings rattling around inside so I emailed Mango (with a video of the rough sounding freewheel) asking for some advice and assistance. However I never received a reply. I need this bike for work so I had no choice but to buy a new Freewheel from Amazon (next day delivery) and the relevant tool to remove the old one. Removing the old Freewheel and replacing with the new was fairly straight forward (I do have a pretty good level of bike maintenance) but I should not have had to spend more money and time on a bike one week old... Mango need to focus on dealing with their customers issues and less time posting snazzy pictures up on Instagram. Before posting this review I gave them 1 week to reply and even commented on an Instagram post about the issue, Of which there had been no response. Before you purchase please have a think about what you’d do if something goes wrong. It could get costly, especially if you need to use a local bike shop to fix the problem. UPDATED 6th Nov. After leaving this review Mango finally got in contact and offered to refund me the cost of the Parts I had to purchase and sent a T-Shirt as Goodwill gesture. I have therefore amended the original rating from 2 to 3 stars.

Great bike but no assembly instructions. One item not despatched with order - no advance warning. Rack that was ordered with it doesn’t fit bike therefore useless. I must make it 100% clear the bike itself is amazing. BUT no instructions on assembly so you need to be confident to assemble (it’s not difficult but some instructions would help) plus it is disappointing that they self accessories that clearly don’t fit the frame of the bike.

Received my bike 2 weeks ago nothing but problems from the start, tried contacting through there online chat and email no reply always replied before I received the bike. Lucky enough I have managed to sort most problems from my knowledge but I shouldn't have to, I also asked about time scale via the time scale indicator on the site and online chat both said 4-6 days it took nearly 3 weeks I would rather they said it would take longer than what it does. would I buy again from Mango unfortunately No.

Bike is good and I’m happy riding it- took longer than expected (2 weeks). This would be fine but had to follow up with mango customer service instead of them letting me know there would be a delay. Bike was delivered without the necessary tools to build it- have mentioned this to customer service member in live chat - he has read my message but not responded (two days ago)-

Very poor rim quality. Rest of the bike is nice. Be aware that the platform pedals are plastic.

In general I am very pleased my two Point AR bikes, however after a few weeks I have had to carry out repairs to my gear cables as the steel outer works its way through the plastic end ferrule. I have now replaced the supplied cables with more robust types with metal ferrules. I'm either unlucky or this is a weakness in the overall build quality.

First thing is you got my name wrong when sending me the request to write this review, however you did send me an email apologising for this. With regards to the bike I cannot fault it, nice smooth ride and good components for the price. Where you did let me down was on the customer service side, the bike was not delivered on time, I had to call 3 times and spoke to a different person each time who knew absolutely nothing about my order. In the end I ended up asking to speak to the MD, who did get things moving. I was then told that I had to be at home to SIGN for the bike as it was a "secured delivery", to my surprise I found the bike in a box leaning up against my garage door, no knock on the door and no signature. I doubt that I will get a response with regards to this review, I didn't even get a courtesy call when I complained about the so called "secure" delivery. Simon Keay

We bought a Mango Point AR at the end of past December with these issues: Problems derived from pre-shipping assembly: - The chain was incorrectly closed. The locking pin was out of place, so the chain was partially open (check the picture). More than a failure in the drive transmission, it's quite unsafe to ride with a chain in that condition. - The brakes had been attached in place but they hadn't been set up. There was no brake performance at all. I know that disc brakes need some use to bed in and increase their performance, but that is imposible to do when you pull the lever till the end and the reduction of speed is barely noticeably. As you can understand, this is a big issue regarding the safety of the bike. Problems derived from the lack of proper protection of the bike for transport: - Drop out hanger was bent, which is causing shifting malfunction of the rear gearing - Front disc rotor was bent, so the disc makes a metallic sound every lap - Rear rim slightly untrue, but this is the least of the problems. I sent an email to Mango and they quickly reply and send a box with the following material: - A new disc brake - A new chain - A new Tiagra rear derailleur, instead of a drop out hanger Now that the bike has been fixed, my wife is happy with it and she has done over 600km with no problems. In general I think Mango can make great bicycles for the money but they need to put more attention to the assembly and packaging. I hope the company improves, offering well-rounded bikes for a reasonable price.

Overall the experience of buying from you was ok, Your website is excellent. On receiving the bike I was pleased, you get what you pay for and I was pleased. However after less than 50 miles I find the bike has issues. The wheels both front and back makes noises.... Something metallic like metal filings can be heard inside both wheels. I took off the tyres as I was afraid of punctures, but the sound is coming from the deep dished hubs so you can't shake it out. The brakes make a noise like a hell cat, especially the front. Otherwise all ok. I still ride bike as a commuter, although I still haven't exceeded 100 miles and the bike feels well worn in. The frame is ok, and is comfortable. Better wheels would make a difference, but probably hard to do in this price range.
