Maisonwhite.co.uk were established in 2011 operating from their retail shop in Colchester, Essex. They have recently relocated their store to Benson in Oxfordshire where they sell a fabulous range of fine homeware and gifts, including soft toys from key brands such as Jellycat where they stock a growing range of loveable childrens toys. Other key brands for the home include Parlane, Voyage Maison and Dora Designs, as well as leading brand candles and diffusers. They have become a key ecommerce retailer selling their gifts all over the world to thousands of happy customers.

“Really pleased with the product, and the score would have been excellent if it would have been packaged nicer within the outer bag as it was a gift, even just some tissue paper”

Thank you for your review, it's is much appreciated, however there was no mention on your order that this was a gift? Never the less we do offer a gift wrap service, due to the costs involved, this is an extra expense. If customers state it is a gift and have not opted the we do try to contact them to advise. “Product delivered at second attempt my error on missing number but no check done by phone number given so post could not apparently find address even though the post take all parcels there if no one in”

Thank you for your review Michael. We are pleased you now have the bag. We unfortunately cannot check every address for customer errors, and many addresses do not have door numbers anyway. We have picked up a few in the past and contact the customer to check, but this is out of courtesy, we can't be expected to know if someone has used the right address or not. Royal Mail handle 90% of our deliveries and due to the sheer volume of deliveries they make, I don't think they can be expected to call every incorrectly addressed parcel. Albeit a good idea! Your phone number is not included on the parcel. We don't recieve any notifications of non delivery until the packages are returned. Kind regards Elise

“Delivery was delayed, understandably by the coronavirus situation. I thought it strange that Maison White asked for a review when they could see the item hadnt arrived. The item has now arrived and is delightful - under the circumstances I think the service was good. I would recommend the shop to others.”

Hi Eve I am sorry to learn of your complaint via this channel as we have no record of any other contact from you regarding non delivery. I have checked the status of your order and the tracking says that the parcel seems to have got 'stuck' in the sorting centre. Given the Global circumstances we are in at the moment I would imagine that Royal Mail are also having some difficulties in delivering there normal high standard of service. So a negative review is a bit harsh, an initial enquiry for us to investigate the matter (which we are now doing) would have been more appropriate. Kind regards (stay safe and well) Maison White

“Arrived on time, was particularly pleased with efficiency especially during current climate. Only thing I would say is that Packaging was unideal, this was a present and could unfortunately be easily recognised as it was a plastic bag, within another plastic bag. Non discreet and unfortunately not environmentally friendly...”

There was no note on your order that alluded to it being a gift. Both the plastic bags we use (inner and outer) are environmentally friendly as they are recyclable. “After buying two snow leopards sml+ med @ Xmas and being very pleased with both , I ordered the highland cow, unlike the snow leopards it would not sit up it was like a pancake I think in the description it should have said it is more like a flat fury toy. In fairness I was offered a replacement but had already said to my grandchild that there was a parcel waiting for her after school.”

Hi Malc Thank you for your review and custom. It does actually say on the description "I lay flat and I can be propped up!" but I guess you may not have read or understood that. Some customers suggest it should say it is like a pillow, others suggest sometning else, so we went with the above. Kind regards Maison White
