I am sorry to hear you are having a problem with one of your tubes. Fluorescent tubes need to be left on for a number of hours initially to start the chemical process working correctly if after doing this the tube is still showing a discoloured area please call customer service who will arrange for a replacement to be sent out to you. Good Morning Mr Firstbrook Many of the T tubes have a rattle and this should not affect their performance in any way if however your tubes have been damaged and do not work correctly please come back to us and we will arrange replacements as necessary. Kim Puttick Customer Service Manager
