Items missing from order Slow response to emails to resolve the situation

When I picked my fan on the website, the VAT wasn't included in the price, so I had the nasty surprise of seeing it jump by more than £20 when it came to paying. It wasn't delivered on the stated date and I stayed in waiting for it for four days for nothing. Lyco didn't bother to notify me that there was a delay. I had to cancel the installation by an electrician at the last minute which cost me more than the 10% compensation I received from Lyco as an apology when they eventually replied to my emails and informed me of the new delivery date. So on the whole buying the fan from Lyco wasn't good experience and it's unlikely I will buy from them in the future again.

Again, I am sorry your delivery was later than expected. The majority of orders are dispatched in a timely manner according to customers requests however I accept this did not happen in your case.  The recent soaring temperatures did have some effect on supply of fans for many retailers.    I do however understand your disappointment at the delay.   We suggest on our website and order confirmations that contractors are not booked until goods are received for this very reason that periodically, as much as we try to avoid them, delays can occur. Our website has two icons on the top of the page allowing customers to chose to see prices with or without VAT depending on whether they are buying for domestic or commercial purposes.  Underneath each price is shown "ex VAT" or "inc VAT" depending on which icon is chosen.   You may have overlooked this. Still waiting for the product. I know things are delayed with the current situation, but should have been stated originally when I ordered the product 4 weeks ago.

sizes need to be clearer on the light fittings on the web site to avoid having to send back. Still awaiting 2 lamps for my fittings

Thank you for getting in touch. I am pleased to let you know your two lamps are due for delivery tomorrow, 20th July. Apologies for the delay. With regard to the dimensions of the Garland Lights, perhaps you overlooked the details in our "Key Features" section on the product page on our website, just below the image:- "10 x cool white LED lights each pre-wired with 5 metre cable and connectors Size: W 30 x D 25mm" Many thanks for your order and I hope you will shop with us again very soon. Efficernt order and delivery. Disappointing product : cheap 'chain' mechanism does not run smoothly, is stiff and squeaks.

Extraordinarily long delivery wait: no ability to angle the light so you can see the bulb reflect in the glass plus as you cannot angle it does not throw enough light down the picture to illuminate the whole print.

The parcel was delivered on Saturday 31st March and, despite my wife and I being at home all day, the parcel was delivered to a neighbour. Each lamp was contained within its own close-fitting, thin cardboard carton with no polystyrene or other packing to prevent damage. The two cartons were taped together and wrapped with a piece of bubble-wrap. When I removed the packaging, I found that both lamps were damaged. Lamp 1 was worst affected and had obviously taken the brunt of mis-handling during transport - the reflector plate had been badly bent and the difuser broken as a result. Additionally, the choke transformer within the lamp body had been shaken from its mountings. Lamp 2 had sustained similar damage to the end of the reflector plate, but no other damage. This is my first experience of dealing with Lyco and it has not been a good one. I would have been better off collecting similar items from my local Screwfix for a similar price.

.I am very sorry your items did not arrive in the first class condition expected.  Our products are fragile by nature and despite our best efforts damage occurs in transit periodically.   Having been in the lighting business for over twenty years we have a deserved excellent reputation for after sales service.  A short phone call or email to our Customer Care team and the issue would have been resolved immediately with as little inconvenience as possible to you.   We want our customers to be completely satisfied with their shopping experience therefore It is disappointing you did not give us the opportunity to assist   As you will note from the feedback on our website we are regularly complimented for the speed in which we resolve issues that may arise post-transaction.    Kind Regards Patricia MullaneCustomer Care Manager

4 voicemail messages left over 2 days for customer service with no response until AFTER I had resolved contact. Very poor Product was o k but had to be returned as too big for intended need. Website needs improvement re returns process.

Long wait for availability then the delivery included damaged goods and was missing items. Staff were helpful and replacement was quick and without quibble. The 'Kit' does not contain instructions so is not suitable for inexperienced DIYers

No problem with Lyco (apart from the fact they only publish Premium Rate phone numbers). But my parcel was badly damaged by FEDEX. Items were damaged and others missing. Lyco responded by offering to send a replacement order. Good outcome - this time let's hope that it isn't damaged!

Lyco were great in attempting to resolve an issue with delivery, having paid for next day and not receiving it. Unfortunately, Lyco partner with DPD who are absolutely shocking when it comes to quality of service. It would potentially put me off using Lyco in the future now I now DPD deliver for them. Other than delivery the item was in perfect condition and sold at a very reasonable price compared to elsewhere, Lyco - great! DPD - not so

Discount code not accepted by the system when placing order. Told by customer services that it would be applied once the order dispatched. That was nearly 2 months ago and still no credit - despite multiple emails to Customer Services. Still being sent weekly emails offering me discounts on future purchases!

Very disappointed that the item was delivered to a different house number despite being correctly addressed (not even direct neighbour) and no card left so I had to call to find out what had happened. Only received it over a week after it was supposed to have been delivered.

The payment phase of the web site was broken on Saturday. I tried later but the error remained. I forwarded the technical error to Lyco, but did not hear back re the error fix. Eventually left it till Tuesday to complete the purchase. .

well first I get the wrong order you sent 1 60w bulb i ordered gu10 10 pack still waiting for order may send back as I had to buy 2 for my kitchen light so not very happy

Nothing exciting about this, website stated buy today and receive by Friday, so had it delivered to work, it looks as if they did not pack until Friday as it turned up Sayurday when I was at home ! then told delivery by Hermes Monday between 3pm & 5pm waited at work until 6.00pm - no parcel, it eventually came Tuesday morning.
