Our main business is helping home owners and home buyers make contact with Building Surveyors, Structural Engineers, Architects, Domestic Energy Assessors, Electricians, Drainage Contractors and other people providing property related services. In addition to domestic property we also provide a comprehensive range of services for commercial property. These services are provided over the whole of the United Kingdom by a comprehensive network of suppliers which has been steadily built up since the website first started operating in 2005.

“It was very easy to use - just entered information about the property and quotes were ready in few seconds. Looked through them, had an immediate phone call from one of the companies, then emails from the rest of them. Agreed on a date next week and booked - all in less than 45 minutes! Perfect :-)”

“The website very easy to use. There was a good selection of local surveyors to choose from as a result of my selection. Was contacted almost straightaway by 2 on the list by phone. Sadly some did not bother but they did not get my business and the one selected was outstanding . Very pleased”

“Good: Prices in seconds, details of the surveyors to contact, seems fast and efficient. Oh, and free for me to use. Amazing: I clicked the button to get a price and one of the surveyors on the list called me AS I WAS READING THE RESULTS! That spooked me a little. Bad: The 16 calls and 4 emails I got from one of the companies on the list chasing me up, which didn't start until 2 days after I got the quote. My Top Tip: You don't have to put your phone number in to do a search... I found this out later.”

“Hugh Broadbent BA Hons M.R.I.C.S. of Chartex. (Chartered Surveyors Express) visited my home a week ago, after I had been refused Buildings insurance with an insurance company who had previously insured me, without any claims. The refusal was due to a serious mis-understanding over some hair line cracking in my house walls. Mr Broadbent, immediately on arrival, commented that my house was not falling down. He went on to inspect all evidence; inside and out; included taking photographs in case of further refusal of insurance, and concluded that the hair line cracks are non-progressive. Furthermore he waived his fee, unless I needed his report in writing. I have a great respect for Mr Broadbent, and highly recommend his services. Ron Fitzgerald. DE7.”

“Richard Chambers from 'my-surve' was very accommodating and met me at the weekend as I live quite a distance from the property that needed the EPC. He was prompt, thorough and I had a copy of the report within an hour. Excellent service - many thanks.”

“Having posted my request I was given recommendations promptly, and when contacting them they all responded equally quickly. Unfortunately for them, I followed the recommendation of a friend so did not need any of their services.”

“Having had the list of those suppliers, I made efforts to contact them but had no success in getting a response. I think the Local Surveyors Direct don't have a wider membership to be able to offer the users of their website a credible service.”
