Customer service was horrendous ,order 15. GU10 bulb on 24 Feb they just never arrived. No contact from Lighting Direct !!! I had to contact them where they told me they forgot yo send them out Unberlivable, Gave me a second date because there was no stock level and once more they did not turn up ... So I would,have expected a call and may be some form or compensation But No. So be carful when you order from them... I will not be ordering anything from them agian. Russell Firman from Liverpool

Thank you for taking the time to get in touch however I think perhaps there is a misunderstanding here. This order you refer to was placed on the 28th Feb and for our item codes 81088 & 81090. These are switches and sockets and not GU10 bulbs. The order was placed at 14:27 on 28th Feb and delivered on 29th at 12:37, less than 24 hours later. Having reviewed all your previous transactions there are no GU10 bulbs included in any of them. You will have received this review request in relation to your transaction for the sockets and switches. Give me my refund for the light fitting that was delivered smashed which i returned to you. You were quick to take my money but not so quick to refund it. You need better quality control to ensure that your packers don't smash the goods when packing them.

I am sorry your items arrived damaged. Our products are very fragile and despite best efforts by our warehouse team sometimes damage occurs in transit. when purchasing the product it stated that " buy it now and receive it by the following day" and it still says it now if you look. I am sure it will say somewhere else that this may not be the case. It is very misleading and incorrect statement.

Bought the lights to fit into the ground, last only for a month, have spoke with them, they happy to exchange, but i have to return lights to them first, which mean in need to destroy all my driveway were lights been installed

I bought a couple of sets of lights from LD. The first lot were fine. Unfortunately one of the glass parts of the second set was broken. I didn't realise at the time of receipt of delivery. So I broke one of the rules of internet shopping which is to check goods on receipt. My bad. When I asked LD if they could help me replace the glass at my expense they couldn't have been less helpful. Despite several phone calls and emails their attitude was "If I don't have to help you then I won'". I have since sourced a replacement from another company.

I am very sorry to read you are dissatisfied with the service you received. As you can see from other posts on this forum it is usually a very positive experience that our customers have with us. I have reviewed the related correspondence from back in December and I believe we could have explained better that as a lighting distributor, and not a manufacturer, we do not have a "parts" department and it is not always possible to source component parts.We need to be advised of any transit damaged as soon as possible after delivery to allow us recourse with the carrier. Regrettably two months had passed before you made us aware of the breakage. I am pleased to note you managed to get the matter resolved and hope you are very happy with your purchase. lights arrived late having already advised they would be late once. Consequential costas for me due to wasted trip by electrician. Cannot get a reply from customer service.

First delivery was damaged in transit. Replacement was sent to the wrong address and Lighting Direct will not answer voicemail or email messages. PayPal will refund at the end of the dispute time, but what we really wanted was the lamp.

I am sorry you are unhappy however it not clear to us as to why. You order was reported as damaged on 29th January and we issued a replacement order on 30th January. The driver was unable to deliver on the 31st as there was no one home and no suitable safe place. On the 1st Feb the parcel was left with your neighbours at No 20 as shown on the Hermes tracking information. Tracking information is sent to all customers on dispatch of orders. Our offices are open between 08:30 and 17:00 during which time voicemails are checked regularly.. Currently we are well within our target service level agreement of responding to emails, and are replying to customers within 24 hours. If you need assistance to retrieve your parcel from your neighbour please get in touch. Kind Regards Patricia

Having a service related attitude and also reading emails and dealing with them promptly. Making an effort to resolve issues for customers politely and helpfully. Rather a regular happy customer than a one off

I am sorry to read you are disappointed with us however I am not sure how we could have done things differently. Your order was placed at 17:00 on 26th January and duly processed by our warehouse team. Unfortunately I understand some hours later you wished to make changes however by that time it was too late. Orders are processed extremely promptly to allow to delivery commitments to be met, if not exceeded, such is our commitment to excellent customer service. I note an email was received into our in-box just after midnight 26th/27th January with your instructions. Our offices are closed at that time as per the details on the auto response you would have received. Hence it was not possible for us to "deal with it promptly" and in any case your order had already been picked, packed and was on the way to the Hermes hub. Text received to give a 2 hour time slot between 2.30 and 4.30, i made sure there was someone home as i checked the tracker and it was 5 minutes away and i had a drs appointment but it wasnt delivered until the following day and no update to even tell me it wasnt being delivered. I also have a lamp with no plug as this hasnt been delivered 1 week on !

There is a problem with the bulb housing fittings in the product. I called Lighting direct and left a message, but have not heard back 1 week later

At 10:25 am I was told light fittings would be delivered between 11:00 and 13:00 the same day. Totally inadequate notice. Checked App was set to re-deliver next working day but the courier still left the parcel outside. It rained overnight.

Thank you for getting in touch Michaela. This product has not been sent back to us therefore I am not sure why you state at this point we have refused you a refund. We received an email with an enquiry regarding returning the item to which we responded. As with all retailers, returned items have to come back to us as-new and fit for resale. Of course products have to be opened to be inspected properly by the purchaser - that is without question. We just ask that the packaging is handled with care. This information is on our web site and also on the dispatch note within the delivery box. I am sorry you are disappointed with the light itself. It has proved very popular with customers as does not require any mains wiring and therefore very straightforward to install. By using another carrier, Hermes still have not delivered my parcel! They said I was not in house when they tried to deliver on Xmas eve, which is a lie. It has been impossible to get in touch with Hermes.to get them to give me a new delivery date! If they had half a brain they would have left my parcel at one of their collection shops and informed me so that I could collect it myself. I would never buy another item from any company which uses Hermes.
