This was the most complicated site I have EVER encountered. Then when the light came it was very basic, and one had to supply cord and switch. There was no indication that this was to be the case.

Light is advertised as black but when it arrived it is actually graphite. Then you pay for the privilege of sending it back. Even though not as advertised.

Initial order was for 4 wall light units, only two was dispatched with the other 2 units arriving a month later! but received a good after sales advice when inquiring about brighter bulbs.

Delivery was unexpectedly very quick. Ordered Monday delivered Tuesday and had not paid for express delivery. The outdoor lamp is very smart very pleased with it, only concern is that the fixing screws are very small. One of the top housing screws would not fit the housing so phoned to ask for another screw to be sent as I did not want to return the whole light just for the sake of a dodgy screw. It was arranged that the relevant department would phone me in an hour as to what could be done about this. They did not phone back so I went through my tool box and found a screw which after filing I managed to adapt it to fit. Very disappointed with your customer service for not phoning back, hence what would have been a 5 star have given a 4 instead.

There was no problem with delivery of lamp and of lamp itself but it did not look right in my lounge . I therefore needed to return it and that is when the problems started . You cannot spk to anyone in person it is all by email. They deal with Hermes for returns and i was promised a collection 7 days ago. I have left several messages with Lighting direct explaining that I am still waiting and now they are not responding . I am now in a situation where I am struggling to get in contact with both Lighting direct and Hermes . Therefore it seems to me that they are happy to take your money but not give refunds . I will not be shopping with this company again .

I am very sorry there has been a delay with your collection. Hermes routinely collect returns on our behalf however during these Covid-19 months some delays have occurred. We will contact you directly with a view to getting the collection arranged as quickly as possible using a different carrier if necessary. Firstly received 4 of the 6 lamps I ordered then only to find they were wall lights not the pedestal lights I wanted eventually after several phone calls and deliveries almost daily I eventually received the correct amount and type of lights only to have 2 more deliveries of bulbs. I had so many boxes to dispose of I filled the car to take them to the recycling plant!! Although customer services were polite I really feel they should either refund some expense or change their suplier. However on a high note the product looks really nice and lights up the garden lovely

Please accept my apologies for the initial error. Further to your call to customer service we arranged for the wall lights to be kept at the lower price and a 10% discount to be given on the other items as per your request, on top of this some spare lamps were sent free of charge. Light sent out next day which was excellent. However, the packaging was extremely poor (a small amount of shredded paper) and the light arrived with two dents in it.

Very poor customer service! Ignored my e-mail when my delivery wasn?t delivered on time by Hermes courier without warning or explanations! I had to take another day off to get my delivery the day after!

Good product but they use Hermes for delivery - you get what you pay for. If delivery goes wrong, as ours did, it's almost impossible to speak to anyone - a succession of automated message leaving facilities. They are quick to speak if you want to buy!! I'd have given them a higher rating if they had used a decent delivery company. It's going to cost us more money as the electrician we booked has to come back again.

I sent two messages about this product, one via your website and one directly to your customer services... neither were answered! Fortunately product was Ok when it arrived, but customer service by e-mail did not exist. Shame as have had good service on other orders and products!

They should answer emails they receive from customers not just we are busy then not follow up this is regards an item I wish to return as the addvert for the item was misleading it says you have 14 days to return it that is getting close

Part of my order was delayed and took four weeks to deliver. I had to chase them up at least three times. Communication was poor. An note of apology would have been nice when the order was finally delivered

Rated Poor as despite notifying them on 2/12/14 as at 10/12/14 I have not had a response. My comments were "The item was duly delivered, but I was out at the time and the parcel was left at my neighbour's. No note was placed in my letter box to advise me of the delivery. It was only on checking the FedEx tracking that I discovered that the delivery had been made to a neighbour. No reference on where the parcel had been delivered to, only a name The delivery instructions were explicit in that "Additional Information: Delivery InstructionsDo not leave with neighbours" I do not know if you passed on the delivery instructions or not, but I guess that between you, you failed to meet my expectations. Can I suggest that you ask FedEx to at least leave a note to say a parcel has been delivered to (and state where and when) an address other than the delivery address. No info on the FedEx tracking system to say where and when, other than a name that the item has been delivered Also it would be a good idea if they followed the delivery instructions, if they were in fact passed to them. The conditioning of the packaging suggested that the item could have suffered water damage - see below (photos were attached). However, the internal packaging seems OK

I'm very happy with the purchase and the price I paid, but the Lighting Direct customer service part was poor. I was told when I ordered online that delivery would be Tuesday by Lighting Direct so I waited in all day, but by late afternoon nothing had come. I emailed customer service to find out if delivery would be that day, I received an auto reply that response could take up to 3 days. I still have not received a response to that. So around 5pm on Tuesday I phoned Lighting Direct customer support, the person was polite and tried to be helpful. Apparently the delivery was coming straight from Lighting Direct's supplier by FedEx, but as that company had closed for the day he couldn't contact them for the tracking number, but would do so the following morning and email that to me. I have never received that reply either. FedEx delivered the light during Weds afternoon, requiring me to stay in for a 2nd day.

Fitting was not as easy as expected, took a while to figure out how to get into junction box without damaging it, only to find that the cable entry had to be directly behind the wall mounted fitting, not a good start. Have been using it for about a week now and it only seems to work when it feels like. One evening the PIR will trigger the light once and then I have to reset it before it will trigger again, another night it will trigger 4 or 5 times before I have to reset it. As soon as I get the time to remove I will be sending it back.
