Having ordered some stake lights, they arrived promptly having paid for next day delivery. Unfortunately they were not as tall as I wanted because the height measurement provided on the website included the length of the stake that is in the ground. It's great that they will happily give me a refund for the item and delivery but what isn't great is the fact that they expect me to pay the return postage. I queried this with them as I felt the item wasn't as described. The customer service manager said 'we have never had this problem before and what can we do to make the height clear?' which, frankly was a ridiculous statement. All they need to do is put another picture on the website showing the spike inserted in the base of the light with the dimension adjacent, something that is actually already on the actual lights packaging! I believe that they are in breach of the consumer rights act 2015 by expecting me to pay for the refund and I have written to them about this - I have yet to receive a reply.

The light arrived completely smashed. We were told to send photos, which we did. Now radio silence! No idea what is happening.

Installed the lights this weekend with the correct rated bulbs and the acrylic covers have melted... very very disappointed in the product

As our Technical Manager has advised we are liaising with our supplier with regard to the problems you experienced.  We very much appreciate the assistance you have given us in providing information on what occurred.   These fittings have always been suitable for both LED and Halogen bulbs making this outcome very surprising and out of the ordinary.  As you would expect we are giving the matter the highest priority and are looking into every possible cause.  We will be collecting the fittings and the bulbs you used and submitting them for investigation at the earliest possible opportunity. I will contact you directly with an update as soon as one available.

Up/down wall light did not look like the image shown on website, had an awful rubber seal on the outside of fitting which was not shown clearly. Had to pay nearly £15 to return the lights as lighting direct refused

I bought a battery operated picture light that couldn?t be adjusted to shine on to the picture only into the room. It should have been checked before it was sent out. The delivery and returns policy was excellent. On the strength of that I will try an alternative light.

Well since I haven't received the product yet I can't coment on it But the delivery service is a joke Waited in three times still not here But says tried to deliver it when I track it

I ordered item, after a week, still waiting sent email, no reply, after 10days again, sent email, no reply. Sent 5 or more emails asking for help with the items, no reply.... 4 weeks plus the items reach me.... would have been nice just to be told what?s was happening...

One of the worst companies I have dealt with paid for next day delivery and it took them 7 days to deliver item do not use this company

When you contacted us on 3rd September it transpired that the driver was having difficulty locating your address unfortunately. Regrettably although your order was dispatched by Lighting-Direct on time, delays occurred in transit which of course was very disappointing for you and for which we apologise once again now. We escalated the matter with our carrier until your order arrived with you so I am sorry you remain dissatisfied with the service you received from our Customer Care Team. Unfortunately periodically unexpected delays happen at which time we put all our efforts into getting these situations resolved as quickly as possible. Poor service. Had to phone three times as order didn't arrive. Told they had pc issues and then told they didn't have the light bulb and there would be a few weeks wait. Cancelled the light bulb and got order 5 days late. Then the buld arrived the next day and was charged when they told me it was cancelled and refunded.

Thank you for taking the time to comment. However, your order was delivered to the address supplied when you completed your transaction on-line. Please refer to your order confirmation, which reflects the information provided to us. Thankfully the person who received the goods contacted us to advise they were not theirs and I understand arrangements are now in place for the package to be retrieved. I understand your frustration at your error however we dispatched your order as we are obliged to do exactly as per the information supplied to us and thus are not at fault. It's probably worth taking a few moments after placing an order on-line to review the details therefore ensuring situations such as this do not occur. Kind Regards Patricia

Use a different courier, the company is at fault for this fact in decision making. The customer relations service received was good however and the goods arrived eventually, however for a promised next day delivery which arrived 4 day's later is not satisfactory. I will not be using this company again. To many in the market place.

Very disappointed I left 3 messages after my parcel failed to arrive after 5 days, no one had the decency to call me back I got automated message they were very busy this time of year! Not good enough they were happy to take my £400+ pounds immediately

Other companies have arranged a flat fee pre paid return p/p that can be paid for at the checkout to allow a fair price for the return of goods that are not suitable on inspection. I had to pay £12 to return the lights that were poor quality and unsuitable which is not fair. If u did this for non trade u would get more customers. It?s a no brainier!!!!!!

The box was clearly damaged before sending so the Packer should maybe check the contents are all present. I?m sure this will be resolved, no one has yet replaced to me

Very poor - advertised combination of fitting & bulbs not available, advised replacements not suitable. 2 sets of postage & 3 returns later. Very disappointed.
