The 3 x 40w ES spotlight bulbs arrived on time. Sadly 2 of the 3 have blown after a days use. Is this normal?

Gyour website shows a quantity of 10 which I ordered . I received 1 only I emailed your sales department and was told that the 10x meant to a dimension The dimension is described by the bulb part number! It looks like a deliberate scam to me

I searched online for the 9w dimmable LED bulbs I especially wanted and was pleased to see that General Lamps had them available to order. However, when they arrived they were rated as 7.5W. The response I received when I queried this was: 'the 7.5 watt version is a replacement for the 9 watt due to the fact that this is the natural successor, as the higher wattage version is now discontinued'. It seems to me therefore not only that the lamps being advertised by General Lamps were not in stock, but were never likely to be re-stocked as they no longer existed. Can companies do this? There was no suggestion of an 'equivalent rating' when I ordered the 9w bulbs. If my electrician is unhappy with 7.5s they're going back.

Hi Barry, LED is an evolving technology so as the perfmance of LEDs improves the light output increases. Manufacturers then reduce the wattage of their bulbs to ensure that the light level remains the same , hence a 9w bulb becomes a 7.5w bulb. There is no loss of light the bulb will produce exactly the same amount of light but in this case you save 1.5w of power per lamp , meaning even greater savings in electricity whilst maintaining the same light output. Received the incorrect ballast. They are too short and cannot be used. 2 emails have been sent regarding returning for the correct ones and have NOT heard back from anyone.

I have received a bulb with brown and black lines around the bulb and a hole in the bulb’s neck and didn’t work. I have informed customer service but nobody bothered to get in touch with me. I lost my money

Received light bulbs, but they were the wrong ones. Ordered 4W and invoice received with the order confirmed it. The bulbs I received were 3.5W. Disappointed but couldn't be bothered with the hassle of returning them.

Hi As LEDs improve in output the manufacturers reduce the wattage to maintain the same light output . So you are getting the correct amount of light and saving 1/2 a watt at the same time You will not have been disadvantaged with your purchase Regards Support

Hi Giorgio, You placed your order on 24th April and we sent it on the 26th April. It went via Royal Mail International delivery, tracking number is LE486021686GB. The status is that at present is that it is in Milan customs waiting for you to pay the duty charges. Italian customs will have contacted you either/and by text or email. Utterly useless - took my money then told me item not in stock - waited 7 weeks and when i questioned where my order was I received nothing of substance - completely lacking in care or understanding of my frustration at their service - would not use them again!!

Hi Nigel, I have checked your order and can see that it is now delivered. When you place an order with us we show live stock so that you can see if the item is in stock or not when you place you order. Also as a confirmation before you make payment a "pop up" appears to confirm if an item is not in stock. Leider konnte unsere Bestellung nicht zum vereinbarten Preis geliefert werden, wir mussten unsere Bestellung stornieren. Die Lieferoption sollte bei der Bestellung verbindlich sein oder nicht angewählt werden können.

Hi Irene, You are based in Switzerland but you selected collection from our warehouse as there was no carriage charge for collection. We spotted this and contacted you to confirm that you did really want to collect from our warehouse, we were advised that you wanted goods to be sent and decided to cancel as there was a delivery charge to send goods to Switzerland. Order No 100192686 Goods not received. I am told that the Royal Mail were unable to deliver and a card was left.No card was ever left here' . I have been instructed to contact Royal Mail and I have tried but unable to make contact . General Lamps phone is permanently engaged and I just want my money refunded asap. Thank You -T Jones

Poor after sales customer service let this company down after some bulbs arrived damaged. A simple problem was made a big issue by this company. Pity. I would not use them again due to this experience.

The wrong bulbs were sent and I received no reply to my email to Customer Service and no one answered my phone call either. I still want to return the bulbs for the correct ones. Invoice ID 100192183. No invoice was sent either. Peter Holt

I paid a ridiculous amount of money for next day delivery and the bulb arrived broken and bent and was refused when delivered. I’m now having trouble getting my money back.
