Lamps arrived quickly and packaged very well, unfortunaytely one had a broken filament, I sent an email requesting a replacement along with picture and no reply, so shame i had to review only 3,

Paid extra for next day delivery but it took 3 days and packaging was poor so one of the bulbs was badly broken! Communication also not efficient and clear. The product seems good though expensive but the customer service and communication is where your focus should be.

Product very reasonably priced and works satisfactorily at present. Communication with company not too good. I emailed twice and got no response. Eventually managed to get through to someone by phone. I just had a query about the delivery as it took a little longer than I expected to arrive.

Items were received in good order, although the £15 next day delivery was a bit deceptive, as I received the items two days after purchase (I did place my order in the evening, but being used to companies like Amazon, I was still expecting it to arrive the following day.)

I have had previous experience of attempting to buy bulbs on line with poor results. I ordered 2 bulbs from lamps on line hoping that at least one would survive the hazardous journey to Sutton Coldfield. I was correct. Although it was difficult to fault the way the bulbs were packaged only one survived the journey. The package was promptly delivered but alas with only 50 percent success rate.

Four halogen tube bulbs were delivered in a timely fashion, however the packaging was poor. They were in a small bubble wrapped envelope but all four boxes containing the tubes were crushed and open at the ends. Although the bulbs appear undamaged I think a better shipping solution is needed.

I was pleased I could find these hard-to-get lamps but concerned that they arrived in an envelope (I ordered two) with only a thin sheet of bubble wrap wrapped half-heartedly around flimsy boxes. Given the lamps' fragility, I thought they could have been more robustly shipped. They look to be OK, but I will only know for sure when the time comes to use them.

The lamp was good, and well packaged. What was disappointing was the not-insignificant fee I paid to arrange delivery the following am, when in fact it took 3 days to be delivered. Inconvenient.

Company is OK if they have the items if not then they are a nightmare to communicate with as customer service never responds to e-mails.

I was already out of the country when my order arrived late a £5 lamp cost me £23 because of express delivery which was not. I am still out of UK but trust I will be reimbursed in part for the over payment of delivery fees

Hi Ken, Thank you for letting us know that it hasnt yet been dleivered. I have just tracked your parcel and it is stating that delivery was attempted on 23rd but no one was available to accept the parcel and they are trying again today. I was sent the wrong item an Edison Lightbulb). A very helpful man ar General Lamps offered to send me a free Return Label & refund the item's cost. It turns out the bulb which I ordered from the GL Website was no longer being sent to GL by the manufacturer but a substitute was sent instead - GL sent me the substitute. I kept the bulb as couldn't be bothered to go through the returning process. However, given there was a 'phone number & email was on the order an assumption shouldn't be made that a customer would want something other than the item they ordered and should be contacted regarding this. Did anyone actually read my order or was the substiute chosen as it was similar ? Disappointing as GL has very good Customer Services.

Hi Vicky, As LED technology is evolving once a higher output LED becomes available the manufacturer will supply a lower wattage bulb so that it will give the same output as the old bulb. If they keep it the same you would end up with a series of bulbs some dim some bright. This is the reason a different wattage bulb was sent. The light output is the same so that you are not compromised but of course you save even more on your electricity bill for no extra cost , which is good news!

Website offers discounts but when. You check basket there is no option not a Tab to discount Also ño postage /carrier charges are shown only added when you are ready to pay.

Hi Bharat, We do have offers on selected products that run throughout the course of the year. The Square Dichroic lamps that you ordered are not subject to discount unfortunately. All shipping options are clearly shown when you enter your delivery details which is before you make any payment to us, we do not take any payment until we have clearly shown what you have bought and at what price and shipping selection you have made.
