A short review for a shortened holiday caused by your company charging more and more as we get older. Us older ones who have paid our dues over the years so that our risk is lower than the younger ones have to curtail our lives having now to spend a large part of the winter in the cold now. So thanks for nothing. I could go into this subject but quite frankly you are not worth the profanity that would follow

We are an independent broker with many insurers on our panel. Once we take your details we compare prices from these insurers – the rates/prices we provide are set by the insurers themselves and can vary depending on a number of factors including the destination you are visiting (the cost of the medical treatment in that country), your age and any pre-existing conditions you may have. Rates/prices are also impacted by factors such as the overall amount of claims made over a given period. Rates do vary between the insurance companies that are on our panel and can go up as well as down due to a number of factors including the amount of claims made over a particular time frame. Price went up substantially on previous year not sure why. This year and last time l phoned thought the person on the phone was quite stern and unfriendly throughout the call

Efficient call back but disappointed to have to go through all details again when I still have a current policy with Just Travel. Also a quite expensive quote which I admit I was too lazy to try to better.

Generally as per my requirements, but not happy that a category C activity has been removed since I last had this policy and now will need to sort out a separate cover for this.

I thought the premium was a little high. I know that I have some health issues still outstanding but £85 for a weeks holiday is a wee bit OTT.

It’s annoying when you ask for a quote for travel insurance by telephone that you have to answer all the medical related questions every time, even though they have the information on their system. Ok if something has changed that would be acceptable. I dread having the conversation every time before I go on holiday as it takes too long to finally get a quote. There was too much fuss with the call handler about a visit to a GP. I ended up having a live conversation online to resolve. Too much time spent on the phone for a 4 day break.

The only insurer I have found that will cover our annual 93 days winter sojourn in the tropics, the telephone negotiations were less painful than is usual when insuring BUT... should I be happy that the premium increased from £337 to £575 when there have been no changes in our circumstances except for us being 1 year older?

An increase in claims (amongst other things) will invariably lead to marginal increases in rates across the travel insurance sector.
