“Having been trapped in an interest only mortgage for years and my husband nearing retirement age, I was extremely worried about securing a repayment mortgage with only a 4 year term remaining and nowhere near enough funds to clear the balance. Ezra was a breath of fresh air from day 1. He contacted me the very same day I submitted an enquiry and kept me advised every step of the way. He always answered my emails the same day and was extremely reassuring. He said from day 1 that he would be able to get a mortgage and 6 weeks later we've completed! Thanks also to Louise for all her help and support through the actual remortgage process. I would not hesitate to contact either of you again for any future help I need. You are both a credit to this organisation. Thank You”

“Athavan was a fantastic broker for me spanning an eventual house purchase that involved two subsequent transactions falling through due to various issues unrelated to the mortgage. On each occasion Athavan provided advice, researched multiple options, and laboriously explored various details of mortgages to secure me the best offering to meet my requirements. He did this multiple times within each of the aborted purchases as my situation changed and gave 100% of his attention each time. He is extremely polite, professional, and timely in his dealings and I would recommend him to anyone wishing to get a mortgage especially if they have challenging requirements like I did having been out of contract for a while and therefore not falling within run off the mill brokering solutions. Thanks Athavan.”

“I am extremely satisfied re all dealings with John Charcol staff. I mainly dealt with Andrew & David who were very professional and helped in all matters of mortgage application and life cover application. Communication was always excellent and queries answered promptly. I was followed up although I appreciate could not personally advise on some aspects I was given enough advice to make informed decisions. Thank you to your staff & all their help! “After being told by potential purchasers that our home was unmortgageable we spent days in a stunned and very stressful state. Conversations with surveyors, architects and builders gave no clarity to why this should be and more importantly how we could rectify it. In desperation we decided to investigate for ourselves how realistic this statement was and so contacted John Charcol. Thank goodness we did! The broker we spoke to, Molly, was brilliant, she calmly explained how the mortgage market for non standard build properties worked and yes it wasn’t a case of a quick visit to a High street bank but perfectly possible to secure a mortgage. Molly then volunteered to do a sample canvass of our property with her lender database and early the next day reported her findings in clear detail of who would and wouldn’t advance a mortgage subject of course to all the other caveats eg age, income, deposit etc. To say this was a relief was an understatement but what was also immensely impressive is that Molly did this without any other motive than to help understand the position we had found ourselves in. Our original purchasers are still pondering what to do but irrespective of them we will always recommend John Charcol and Molly in particular if ever the question of mortgages arises.”

“Gemma Clarke and Emma Moores gave timely support and amended recommendations when appropriate in renewing my BTL mortgage. There were a few IT problems from the Building Society but we managed to negotiate the issues and we now have a fixed rate for 2 years that meets our needs.”

“I’ve been a client of John Charcoal since 2017 when recommended by a friend for remortgage. I found the company as a whole and especially my Mortgage Advisor Mr. Vuk Micunovic an extremely professional and at the same time very friendly and approachable person. I’ve been dealing directly with Vuk since 2017 and I’ve literally have no words to describe him than an absolute gentleman, always at ready for help. I just completed my remortgage deal assisted by him and it was literally done within a week. Highly recommend Vuk as a mortgage advisor and the company John Charcol for mortgage and remortgage processing.”

“I was referred by a friend and I am glad I decided to go ahead with my mortgage needs with Dipak Shirsat from John Charcol. Dipak helped us secure a new mortgage on a property and re-mortgage our current home, the whole process took nearly 6 months. The professional attitude he had and his level of patience is simply unbelievable. He worked on our case as if it was his own mortgage, gave suggestions at every key stage of the mortgage, made us understand between choices, answered all questions patiently, never once sighed or rushed us in to the process. He is a gem, very smart, a lovely human being and an asset to John Charcol, understanding the customer needs/situation and helping them in securing their home is not an easy thing.
