“Ok. Problem. I asked for £15,000 advance from remortgage, and due to costs I ended up £2500 less than I asked for, including you fee, mortgage arrangement fee, freehold permissions, solicitors fees etc. This should have been accounted for by my broker. That you?”

“I had excellent advice and support from Penny Howes, helping me through what turned out to be a rather more complicated process than either of us had anticipated, and I really appreciate her patience! I also received excellent day-to-day support from Riza Jerusalem and was impressed with the way she checked on progress regularly and was always in touch and available to follow up on anything necessary. Very impressed with the service and will certainly recommend John Charcol to friends and acquaintances.”

“Both Tom and Jake had kept me updated regularly from day 1 to mortgage completion date. Friendly service. It was a rollercoaster ride applying for my Remortgage but they kept at it and gave me other options. We are really happy with the services by Charco and I would come back to them in the near future. Thanks everybody.”

“As an 'older borrower' we felt that we needed a broker with access to a wider market than approaching a high street lender direct. From the first initial contact we found that our broker, Eric Appolloddorus, listened to what we wanted and quickly identified an attainable product. He guided us through the paperwork at every stage of what was a professional, fast and efficient process. Overall a very positive experience. “I had a lot of issues with previous companies and had so much time wasted. I was hesitant to using John Charcol again as a year earlier I had a bad experience with the London branch. I dealt with a lady named Penny Howes who reassured me with everything from the start and then was assigned to Mia Tariq from processing who was very pleasant and kept me up to speed with updates and any questions I had. These two are very good at what they do.”

They’ve helped with issues like chasing low mortgage rates by reputable lenders while base rate rumours were circulating, and helping explain unusual benefits on payslips during a mortgage application. We’ve used them since we were first time buyers and they’ve been helpful and proactive every time.”

“My husband and I were buying our first home so the process was all new to us. Jags and Riza at John Charcol guided us through the whole thing and their advice was really helpful and clear. They made the experience of getting a mortgage and buying a house a very smooth experience. We were also very pleased with the mortgage rate Jags managed to get for us. “Excellent professional and personal service. Bruce took great care to explain the process to us and ensure that all the necessary information required to apply for our remortgage was provided by us and checked by him to make sure the process ran as quickly and smoothly as possible. When delays occurred on the legal side he stepped in and remedied the situation and kept a close eye on the proceedings until completion. Very satisfied and will definitely recommend your company to friends and colleagues. Thank you again.”
