“Hemel Shah handled our mortgage application as efficiently and well as we could have hoped. He went out of his way to make the process both speedier and less stressful, at a time when we might have lost the house we were buying. I would wholeheartedly recommend him and John Charcol to any property buyers.”

“Aside from finding us a lender and a great mortgage John Charcol helped relieve the stress as soon as they started working with us. Despite having some slight doubts very early on when Lauren suggested it should be possible to find a lender I quickly trusted that they would be able to meet our needs. I also felt reassured by their professionalism and intelligent approach to handling the questions put forward by the underwriter. In particular, they were the only broker able to find us a lender - we had great difficulty getting a mortgage mainly due to recently having returned to the UK. I don't usually write reviews but being able to buy the house was such a big thing for us to achieve that it was starting to become stressful (especially as we had an offer accepted on a house). Usually when my wife and I deal with people we often find that despite those people being in professional roles they do dingbat things or blatantly act in a way contrary to what they portrayed at the outset. With Lauren it was the exact opposite; as well as dealing intelligently with the questions from the lender and passing back our responses, Lauren kept us up to date as well as providing updates and reassurance to the estate agent (who was having to fend off highly strung sellers who threatened to pull out of the sale). For once I didn't mind paying their fee, which was good value, and I didn't begrudge them the commission payed by the lender. Would use again.”

“Proactive, friendly and efficient customer service from John Charcol. Sergio and Sophia are knowledgeable and pleasant to deal with. However, I would never use O'Neill Patient solicitors again and am surprised they are on John Charcol's panel.”

“Hailey Kow did an excellent job. He got me a very good rate and overcame all the hurdles in what was a complicated mortgage. I found him to be very articulate and he has a positive 'can do' attitude towards the process. Hailey has a detailed knowledge of the market and communicates with a confident and user friendly manner. Highly recommended.”

“We received a very professional and complete service from JC. Sergio was able to source a suitable re-mortgage for us, despite our challenging personal circumstances and he and Katy kept us informed of the progress of our application at all times. “We have used John Charcol before following an initial chance meeting on a flight to Nice. The Firm is professional and effective and so I trust them. A good deal meeting our requirements was achieved and the John Charcol Staff tracked it all the way keeping us informed and facilitating the Mortgage in a very competent way. We recommend them.”
