I learned a lot from Course B, but not so much from Course A, which I found to provide very basic information. However, I found that both courses are well organised. I also appreciated the feedback from the online tutors on each exam. They were very quick in providing feedback, usually within 24 hours. Therefore, I did not have to wait too long in order to move forward with the course. There were also two occasions where I contacted the help desk with questions, and each time, they got back to me within 24 hours.

Sad that within a short space of time (was it three months?) access to my course 'expired'. I lead a busy life and after paying a lot of money for this, I would have liked the opportunity to finish the course.

Hi, I apologize for taking so long to answer your survey. I just wanted to finish the course first, and after that I have been quite busy. I really enjoyed the course and I believe it gave me the skills and knowledge necessary to take on the role of teacher. I was at first a bit polemic when I saw that some of the assignments were asking me to describe an activity or plan a lesson, I was actually expecting the course to give me detailed lesson plans and activities. I understood then the purpose of these exercises, having to research over the internet and working with all the information on the course to put together the assignments gave me a deeper understanding of what I was doing. The tutors feed-back and examples of what they might have done was then really helpful and a further lesson itself. The classroom weekend was also very interesting and gave me a good idea of what it is like to be a teacher. At the end I have to say I still think it would be great if the course came with a set of lesson plans from A to Z, from absolute beginners to advanced, something that could get the teacher started anywhere without any school program or else. There are some lesson plans included in the course material but they seem to me a bit random. I understand there are sets that one can buy. I will buy one soon and I think that will actually fill what I still feel like a gap in my training. Thank everybody for the very interesting and enjoyable time. Regards Marco

overall i am very satisfied with the course. only the gap fill questions of the quizez are a bit odd. They have to be filled in perfect or else they are fault. It´s not the right type of exercise in my point of view.

Overall the program is good. I wish there were more communication overall. It wasn't explained to me what would happen if I missed the third attempt until later on in the course. This caused much concern as I didn't know what was going to happen. I wish that the certification would also be accredited towards the United States universities. That is that the classes could also transfer to some type of credits. Since the course is from England, there are some issues that are taught differently than that of the United States schools such as the "tenses" of sentence structures. The U.S. uses different names, even though it reflects the same structures.

I enjoyed the class and thought the customer service was excellent. The reps were very nice. I also got great assistance from the help desk when I had questions about a quiz I was taking. The main negative is that the comments my tutor gave me were generic a few times and not specific to my answer. But overall the course was well worth the money.

The course is very well structured and all of the materials are useful. The only complaint I have is that you have a time limit on the course and this is not advised before booking. I am strugging to get through the materials as quickly as I can and not really getting to spend the time I would have liked on each section.

The tutor component is very good. I do feel however, that the administration side could be improved. For many people including myself who were studying in their spare time while working during the day, an email every now and then to check how things are and a summary of my progress so far would have been very useful.

As I've been teaching for over ten years now I wasn't interested in starting from scratch again, so I decided to just buy 4 modules. I was happy with the general layout and work requirement but I found it quite confusing that the modules were presented using terms that were not explained, just presumed to be known but only understood if one has already done the teacher training program. This required a lot more time than I had planned for based on your indication of 10 hours and I felt overwhelmed and frustrated from the pressure to get everything done on time. This could easily be avoided just by adding a key with some examples, giving a more complete presentation of the work, being a more supportive and handy timesaving reminder. Thank you for the opportunity to share.

TEFL certification sites are a dime a dozen, and at first I was tempted to pass i-to-i by and move on to another. It was the internship that caught my eye, and it is the internship program (Teach and Travel China specifically) that truly set i-to-i apart from other TEFL certs. The fact that I emerged from i-to-i with not only a certificate, but a semester of actual hands-on experience teaching English abroad has helped jump-start my TEFL career. Aside from all that, I had an absolute blast! To anyone browsing this site, I can't recommend this enough: don't just get certified. Take the internship as well. It's quite well worth the time and money.

For the most part, the i-to-i TEFL course was good, although now that I've started my first teaching job (in Thailand) I do feel a bit unprepared. Here's a few things I wish the course would've helped me better prepare for: -making lesson plans -examples of more games -time management (how far out do I plan for the lesson plans) -classroom rules (late policies, classroom etiquette, etc) Thanks!

I enjoyed my 6 months Internship in Vietnam in August 2013. I provided me with the skills required to take the first step towards becoming a fully qualified EFL Teacher. I am aware that several of the other people on the same Internship as me felt that we could have done with more support from the sister company in Vietnam, TTV (Teach and Travel Vietnam). They did provide support but the work was sub contracted out to a local vietnamese teaching employment agency and so we were dealing directly with them for most of the time and not with TTV. It was very demanding work and I feel that the trainee teachers need more support during this time.where possible.

I found the course very helpful and that it covered all the basics. As I am teaching in Korea and have taught both small groups, large groups and individuals I found that the course really helped me and gave me valuable hints as to how to teach all of the above. I found that the lesson plans I was asked to write both challenging engaging. I received very valuable feedback on all my work which I appreciated as it was delivered very promptly and the emphasis was on developing my ability to teach, stretching me that little bit and quite positive. Unfortunately there was one segment that I could not do in Korea as there were some liimitations placed on that segment by the powers that be here and even though I completed over one hundred hours I never received my certificate saying so. I tried to contact the company several times with no result. I would appreciate even at this late date receiving a certificate saying that I completed one hundred hours. I did the first 60 hours when i was still in ireland in 2006 and did the next sixty hours minus that one five hour segment while I was working in Korea. Is there any way that you can send me a certificate stating that I completed a one hundred and fiveteen hour course? I would really appreciate that. I really enjoyed the course. Unfortunately because of my age, a young and intelligent 62, I cannot get hired. I asked about age before I took the course and was told it was not an issue. It is an issue so I am greatly disappointed.

I found the initial contact very helpful with i - i TEFL and the staff on the phone line very informative. I enjoyed the time I was doing the course online and very much enjoyed the time at the week-end in Birmingham. Unfortunately I was unable to finish the course because of work pressures but i would do it again.

The course was fairly good. I haven't applied for any TEFL teaching posts yet so I don't know how well-received it will be by potential employers, but I'm aware it is not a substitute for the CELTA/Trinity Certificate and I think that was made clear in the initial description. The content was diverse and pretty thorough, which was good, although some of the information felt a little dated (especially in the business English module) and it was very oddly weighted at times (with some modules barely covering some 'subtopics'). I thought the section on the phonetic alphabet was a bit baffling, as this isn't something most people are going to have had any experience of and it's a bit ridiculous to assume you can learn it off the back of the slides given and adequately apply it to questions given in the quiz. But that isn't really a major issue. I found the feedback on the assessments pretty mixed and generally quite poor. It felt like the tutors were often responding off the back of a standard script as some of the comments didn't really relate to the answers I'd given and some of the criticism, although constructive, just wasn't really helpful as it didn't pinpoint clearly where I'd gone wrong or give enough detail as to what the issues were with my answers. The feedback also didn't make clear exactly what improvements needed to be made in some cases, which was rather stressful! (I spent quite a long time on my answers so the thought of beginning again without knowing exactly what was expected wasn't very good). The only other thing I think it would be useful to say is that it should be made clearer that the 140-hour course must be completed within three months. I only realised this after I booked.

I completed a weekend TEFL course with i to i back in November 2010. It was over two days in a London hotel, and although the days were quite long, it was a superb introduction to TEFL. The trainer was very good -fun as well as informative and experienced, and the other people on the course also a good bunch. I would recommend it to anyone who is considering going abroad to TEFL or, in particular is serious about being a decent TEFL teacher and thus looking to do the Cambridge CELTA 1 month course. The latter can be quite expensive with no guaranteed job after, but it is the de facto qualification for teaching. If you are not sure if you are going to like teaching (anything) then this weekend course is for you! (It spurred me on to study the CELTA).
