Well I think I a brilliant job with my assignments, after having me do them over and over. I then received a congratulations you've pass L5. From a Ms. Rachel Williams. Then got a call from Mr. Sahm. He told me that he could not give me the L5 programme as passed. The thing that amazes me the most is that all the time, I always received a call back from the team. When it cam to getting a JOB assistance, suddenly the Academy is not allowed to make outgoing calls anymore. No one calls back or assist with emails. I was told about purchasing a resource package. No one has heard of it. TEFL tutors ask me what's a resource package. May I get some assistance please.

I am not satisfied. When following the course information and examples provided, I constantly have to resubmit assignments and sometimes due to ridiculous reasons. I don't know if it is merely the tutors that I got or if it is the entire system. I don't think the tutors' expectations and course work and examples are aligned!

Good day Today I write this message with tears in my eyes. I would like to make an appeal my latest attempt on my assignment. it's so displeasing, now that I am at the end of my course, that I be showed this kind of treatment. it's all about the money! I feel that this being the last leg of my assignment, I should have been supported in a more thorough manner. in the past I was able to resubmit a third attempt. but now I must pay for a third attempt. I feel lost and unsupported. how do I know that I am moving the right direction based on the feedback that I was given with my first attempt. my course on expiring 31.20.2023 but I am to pay the re-take fee of R350. how do I know that this time when I re-submit it will be correct when I don't understand the feedback of the tutor and that's what I initially said when I received my first tutor review. I made the changes as best as I could understand her feedback and yet I feel like it was all in vain. how do I know the next assignment I submit will be credible? that is why I beg you to please have my assignment marked by a different tutor. when I enrolled, I was given a call at least twice a week from the tutors, now nothing. I will escalate this matter to gateway should I not receive a call from a tutor. never were my third attempts charged for in the past, now suddenly, I am to pay the R350 to re-submit/or have a different tutor, mark I paper. As I don't know what to do! I need a human response! I am in tears, knowing that is well established organization can do this to somebody and not put themselves in our shoes and feel all these kinds of emotions. you submit your assignment and usually within 3-5 days, you get response on your assignment. this assignment, took 7 days to be marked. (that was days wasted that I could have been doing what I am doing right now) so is all this being done intentional to stall time and to just make money off the individual.... then I get told by customer service that I should submit and then follow the tutor’s feedback from there. I have done so, and now I am being told that I am to pay a R350 to re-submit. Oh! And they cannot assist me in a tutor capacity. But never mind when I started this course I had the tutor 2-3 a day on the line with. Giving and guiding me on a path to passing. By making things simplistic. really really displeased by this. I must say this is Really pathetic.

Initially I had a good experience with the company. Very friendly salesperson over the phone and everything was explained well enough to me. The course content was terrific and engaging - I want to stress I don't have a problem with that. My issue comes from customer service during the course. I got rather ill during the time I was enrolled on the course and was unable to complete it. I had spoken via the live chat and asked about a refund policy (I had in my terms of conditions a clause where if I failed I could get a refund). This was shot down by the live chat and a screenshot of 'updated' terms and conditions, which conflicted with mine. The woman was very friendly about all of this, but insisted that I must be wrong. So, I'm out of pocket an unfortunate amount of money, and no qualification to show for it. Again, like I said, content fantastic, customer care...not so good.

In the beginning section, I found MCQ items to be vague enough for parties' interpretations to vary. Thereafter, I found assessments to include terms not discussed beforehand. I eventually experienced the course as tedious. That is my experience, as an end-user. Disappointed - speaking as someone who has acquaintance with HRD and continuous assessment development and implementation, and international publication in relation to questionnaire development.

Content looks good, did not do much of it, but if you are unable to finish the course due to personal reasons don't expect any form of refund. All they can do is pause the course till a later point.

So maybe its not for everybody. But the whole course is very blend, because its so obvious and straight forward. Its also very over the top, over explaining and over complicating. Its a typical old school way of teaching, drowning in rules and taking the fun out of it. The 3 exercises you get are very blend, not difficult but just blend and mostly nit picky. Creativity is not allowed, and you have to agree with their methods to pass it. You have to follow every step up to a point where you just ask them what they want you to write so you just copy that and everybody is happy. Not that you learned something but at least you followed the rules! The rules are very annoying, for example if you included pictures in your exercise than you actually have to hand it in with pictures. Even though its completely pointless because its not for real students. Everybody knows what a park looks like. So if you than cant upload the pictures because their website doesnt allow big files than you really get very frustrated. In the end i just deleted this entire part from my exercise just to get around this. The tests at the end of each chapter are very because they are very obvious. Only specific terms or their view of things are maybe things you need to look up. So first i was motivated to write down everything etc. But in the end you just skip to end and click through the exams and thats it. So all in all i cant say i learned something. Mostly of how not to do things or how to chase away your students or make them fall asleep. Because the way of teaching is so boring and over the top explaining things. Almost treating the students like they are stupid. I dont like this way of teaching. So personally i am happy its over but never again! The customer support is friendly and helpful but sometimes a bit over the top, so you can feel the fakeness. They just clarified the things but basically it came down to “rules are rules”.

Thanks for taking the time to review our course, we really appreciate it. It's a real shame to hear you found the process frustrating. As an Ofqual regulated online course there are certain criteria all students need to meet to pass their assignments. I realise that may be frustrating if you have previous experience but it's the only way we can be fair to all students. It's great to hear you have qualified now and I wish you all the best with your teaching career. We're always working on improvements to our courses so if there are any specifics you think we need to work on then please let us know at customersupport@i-to-i.com and we'll make changes where we can. Thanks again for the review, Jo. Customer Support Team

The reason I give it a 2 is because you don,t get access to the other modules linked to your course.

I to I, i have had an issue with them trying to upsell me before, by telling me that the course I chose was useless??? And I needed to by an extended version to teach online But in addition I would not recommend taking it. I to I makes it sound like they have tons of jobs waiting for you... however non of the online jobs that I applied to through I to I have really come back to me for an interview. When I applied for an internship in Spain, I got it however they told me I would need to pay a R 15 000 deposit in order to get the participate. I have been searching for online tefl jobs for 6 months now with no luck. I have a bcom degree and a 150h course in tefl.

All of the information is easily found online. This is just a money-maker for i-to-i - do a simple Google search rather than buy these guides.

Currently study the IELTS coach course, and it's pretty terrible. All the course is teaching me is to re-sit the end of unit tests until I get a better score. There's very little in-depth reading material and I feel the course is not worth its price.

Did the 260 hour course. Would recommend the 180 course as I would with the 20 hour classroom course. I found these to be very helpful in building a foundation in my TEFL knowledge as a beginner. However, I would advise anyone to stay clear of the 60 hour one-to-one and online course. I found the entire unit basic and seeming to lack any effort into its creation. The assignment was frustrating and the small examples provided throughout the course proved to be no help when receiving feedback. I would advise i-to-i to ask it’s assessors to be more consistent in their feedback as what one individual would accept would not pass with another.

Thanks for your feedback and it's great to hear you enjoyed our 180 hour online and 20 hour classroom courses. The One to One & Online course does have more practical information it is as well as theory, and it has been recently updated. We'll review the course fully to make sure that all information is clear and consistent. Thanks again for letting us know.

The assignments are good and if you do them properly will help you to teach EFL. The course content is okay but there are too many errors, ambiguous questions and answers to quizzes, poor example videos and very poor customer support for me to recommend it

It has been an absolute nightmare trying to get into contact with the customer service at I-to-I. I completed my level 5 course, after having to spend even more money because I wanted to LESSEN the amount of hours for my completion. So after I sent more money, the adjustment was made and I was sent a congratulatory email with with several links to click and view the certificate. And guess what? Neither link works with the candidate number they have given me. Turnaround time for a response to an email is at least three days. I try to call and never get an answer. And now I'm guessing that they'll require me to pay even more to have a printed certificate sent because for some reason the pdf won't work.

Hi Bronson, we're really sorry that you've had problems downloading your certificate on our system. For security you need to put in certain details before you can download it. I can see we have now sent your certificate directly to avoid any further frustration. You should not need a paper certificate as the PDF is official and can be legalized so please get in touch if you have any problems whatsoever. We do our very best to respond to all queries as quickly as we can and within at least 2 working days so I'd like to apologise if you've had to wait longer than that. Best wishes, Jo.

Overall my experience with i-to-i was not brilliant, the courses are very inflexible, with "admin fees" at every corner. The course content is very basic and taught me very little i didn't already know, however it did go through the basics with some competence. I found the layout of the material to be incredibly poor at some points, and found several typos and structural issues. I've included some of the notable examples below: In the "pronunciation" section the content immediately assumed the learner to have a southern RP English accent. As a Scot I found most of this section incredibly unhelpful and I'm sure the majority of brits who don't have a southern RP English accent would agree, and would have appreciated at least a disclaimer at the start of the section (there was a very small disclaimer at the END of the section. Not helpful). The wording of many of the quiz questions was confusing and needs reviewing. At unit 7.5 the course covers tenses. The introduction shows the tenses in chronological order, but the later content follows in a completely nonsensical order. These are just some small examples of problems I found with the course in general, so that I overall found the content pretty unprofessional and unsatisfying, especially for the price I paid. Add on to this the administrative fees and certificate fees and it's just mad. With that price I expect much more detailed tutor feedback (which was very basic) and course content that flows in a logical way. I have two reasons for giving two stars instead of one: the first being that the course really does cover the basics well, it's just vastly overpriced. The second being Amy from customer service, who listened patiently to my tirade about my poor experience, quickly and efficiently sorted out my certificate issues and was overall incredibly helpful. I would give an extra star just for her but I want to be honest with my review. She deserves a raise.
