“The pot I ordered was lovely. Really pleased . It arrived very well wrapped. The plant , a lovely peperomia , had several damaged leaves, and was just in a plastic bag , wedged into its cardboard compartment. Would be a good idea to surround the plant with some of the paper wadding, like the pot . It’s a good plant, and is now recovering!”

“The pots I bought are lovely & I realise they need to be packed up safely but the packaging definitely wasn’t green. There was so much sellotape & cardboard that I had to put it out for recycling on two different weeks. The boxes were huge & then had boxes inside the boxes!”

“I bought a pot and it is exactly the same as in the pictures and what was expected - a ceramic pot of quality make and design. The communication had with the company is quick-time response and deliveries take place within the duration. The pots also come well-packaged and so no chance of cracks en-route. The lost star is because I complained prior to purchase that one of the (tailor-made) pots in the images on the website shows a blemishing and so had to request a hand-picked item; and to make the point, that the image of the pot is still uploaded instead of being taken down and the pot itself marked as a second. The item looks very nice where it is placed. Another useful addition to this product are small round black rubber pads, which stop the possibility of surfaces being scratched.”

“The plants are great quality and good value. I’m disappointed with the pots - the colour is less vibrant and different from all the website views, much less green and more grey. But they are good quality and the website and service was excellent, although way too much packaging for the pots was used.”

The vast majority of our pots are handmade and we do mention "handmade - every one is unique. Slight imperfections and variations may occur in colour, shape and size" on their page https://hortology.co.uk/collections/all/products/thies-plant-pot-olive-green Packaging, pots and transport create an interesting mix, whilst the packaging may seem excessive it is absolutely necesary to keep those pots intact during transit. We have spent a lot of time testing and developing our packaging to ensure this is optimal, both from a protective but also from an environmental perspective. Hi Elly Thank you for your feedback. Certain plants are harder than others to ship without some stem damage. Pachira almost always has some minor transit damage. We include details that this is likely to happen on our product page. Fortunately with fast growing plants such as Pachira, the damaged stems can be removed at their base and they are quickly replaced. “Big Ken (the Kentia plant) joined us more than 2 weeks ago. Its standing super strong and lovely. My only little snag is that the leaves were still dirty when they arrived so i had to wipe them all.... other than that, beautiful and strong. I set up the plant by following online instructions. It would have been easier if there was a QR code on the box. Great quality and abso enjoying the view of big Ken in our livingroom.”

“Items arrived in good condition, although some of the plants had spilled soil around inside. The plant pots ordered had an excessive amount of packing included which could have been reduced.”

“The pots are colourful, solid and huge - bigger than I expected despite the sizing information because they have thick walls. The plants will love them, I am concerned about the weight on the floorboards so I expect that they will remain outside for an apricot and a lemon tree to grow in. It was a bit of a wait before delivery but the driver was very kind and helped me check that there was no damage despite cars being held up in the lane.”

“Recently got a pink princess philodendron from them. It arrived late, which I didn’t mind; however, multiple leaves were fairly damaged upon arrival which I was not pleased about.”
