“Good service. Item was very well packed and easy to unpack. Only thing I would say is that there were no care instructions included. I know it’s fairly obvious how to look after a plant but they are all different so surprised this wasn’t in there.”

“Really well packaged, speedy delivery. Plants are healthy and as pictured and described. I would say avoid sizing up on the pots. A cosy fit is better ☺️ the pots were affordable compared to lots of other places. The mister was a lil cheap looking for the cap. Looks like plastic.”

“The product is nice, very happy with my plant pot! One thing though, it would be great to have an easy free returns option as sometimes it’s difficult to nail the right types/sizes from online descriptions. I paid £5 for delivery, and then another money to return/exchange.”

“Advice about plants before buying is very useful. Plants and pots came in great condition and promptly. All in all a good experience. The only reservation (and what prevented a 5-star rating) is that the suggested pot size for each plant was not always accurate.”

“The pot I ordered was lovely. Really pleased . It arrived very well wrapped. The plant , a lovely peperomia , had several damaged leaves, and was just in a plastic bag , wedged into its cardboard compartment. Would be a good idea to surround the plant with some of the paper wadding, like the pot . It’s a good plant, and is now recovering!”

“The pots I bought are lovely & I realise they need to be packed up safely but the packaging definitely wasn’t green. There was so much sellotape & cardboard that I had to put it out for recycling on two different weeks. The boxes were huge & then had boxes inside the boxes!”

“I bought a pot and it is exactly the same as in the pictures and what was expected - a ceramic pot of quality make and design. The communication had with the company is quick-time response and deliveries take place within the duration. The pots also come well-packaged and so no chance of cracks en-route. The lost star is because I complained prior to purchase that one of the (tailor-made) pots in the images on the website shows a blemishing and so had to request a hand-picked item; and to make the point, that the image of the pot is still uploaded instead of being taken down and the pot itself marked as a second. The item looks very nice where it is placed. Another useful addition to this product are small round black rubber pads, which stop the possibility of surfaces being scratched.”

“The plants are great quality and good value. I’m disappointed with the pots - the colour is less vibrant and different from all the website views, much less green and more grey. But they are good quality and the website and service was excellent, although way too much packaging for the pots was used.”

Hello Claire, Thank you for your order and review, I am sorry to hear you are disappointed with your Olive Green - Thies Plant pot. The vast majority of our pots are handmade and we do mention "handmade - every one is unique. Slight imperfections and variations may occur in colour, shape and size" on their page https://hortology.co.uk/collections/all/products/thies-plant-pot-olive-green Packaging, pots and transport create an interesting mix, whilst the packaging may seem excessive it is absolutely necesary to keep those pots intact during transit. We have spent a lot of time testing and developing our packaging to ensure this is optimal, both from a protective but also from an environmental perspective.
