Took 3 days to actually receive delivery as driver wouldn't leave the plant anywhere. When I unboxed it about a dozen leaves fell off with another dozen barely hanging on. It's a small plant so this has left huge gaps and the whole thing looks pretty sad.

Hi, Thank you for your review, We are so sorry that this has happened. Unfortunately the couriers are unable to leave the order in a safe place without prior permission from the customer. This is to ensure the safety of your order, so we do apologise that this may have taken longer to arrive with you than expected. Your order was dispatched from ourselves on a Wednesday and delivered on the Friday, it was in the box for a little longer than usual, but the order was successfully delivered on the Friday to the safe place location they were provided with via the tracking email. We do again apologise that your order did sustain a little damage during transit resulting in loosing a few leaves! The stems of the Peperomia ordered (and Peperomia in general) are often very fragile with much heavier leaves. This sadly means, despite our best efforts, a few leaves may be lost during transit and this is something that is mentioned on our product page to advise. We sincerely apologise if your plant sustained more leaf loss than usual. It would have been 5* as the plant is perfect, well formed and super healthy. However the experience was let down by the packaging, whilst well secured in the box there was no consideration for the retention of the compost, which was bone dry, and since the box had clearly been upside down at some point was more in the bag than the pot. Fortunately delivery was swift so no harm done just a slightly messy job of washing the plant and re-repotting.

The banana plant arrived earlier than expected.The plant is too small for the price and leaves were scorched but I had small discount for this.I am disappointed overall with the service.

The cacti were healthy but , one was a lit smaller than it should have been .

Ordered four plants three of which arrived healthy, however, the same can't be said about the Phoenix canariensis. The soil, which was of very poor quality with nothing in it to provide aeration and drainage so the plant would have been bound for root rot had I not replanted it, was so dry I could hardly pierce the moisture meter into it. The lower, older leaves were completely dry (I've now removed these) and the ends of the new leaves are all brown. Also, the delivery guy was unhelpful, bordering rudeness, when I asked him to bring the plants up to the first floor where my flat is he went "why, these are just plants", tossed the box towards me and left without another word. Three stars though as the truth is the other three plants are very nice so I'm happy with those and delivery was extremely quick (the following day).

The pot is really beautiful and great quality; arrived extremely well packed but it took a long time for it to be delivered without any update emails from Hortology.

Price was good and the packaging was really strong. Marked down as the plant I received had a huge tear through one of the leaves - when it's a fiddle leaf fig and one of the top leaves, it's not good enough to ship out plants with that sort of damage.

The size of the plant was quite small this time. It was a gift so particularly disappointing. But the quality looks good so hopefully it will grow quickly.

Hi Elizabeth Thank you for this feedback. Our plants sizes are based on pot diameter and an estimate of height, however this is only an indication as they do vary throughout the year and by batch. However we would expect the height to be accurate within a reasonable degree of tolerance. Having checked on your order the plant should have been around 20cm in height (including the grow pot). We would be more than happy to look into this further for you if you would drop our customer services team a note and send a photos of the plant received. Ordered 5 plants, most were great but two weren't. One didn't have a single undamaged leaf, hoping the new growth will overtake and make it look happier and healthier. The other had stem rot. As it's a peperomia, currently trying to propagate using healthy leaf from it. Fingers crossed the propagation goes well and I get a handful of bambino plants in a year or so from it.

The two pots that I ordered arrived quickly and in good condition. Sadly the plant I ordered was a bit battered and a few strands had fallen off. It doesn't look like an overly healthy plant.

Hello Suzie, Thank you for your order and review. The Aeschynanthus Rasta - Lipstick plant foliage is fragile and can damage in transit unfortunately due to its very fragile stems and foliage. Despite our best efforts to protect the plant during its journey we are aware that some leaf loss and stem damage is likely and we therefore explain this on the product page, as we would rather be up front that this will happen. I really like the pot. The delivery service needs to be reviewed. The pot weighs 15kg but I had to pay £40 for delivery. The service was limited to leaving the pot strapped to a pallet on the curb. I would expect better delivery service for that price.

Whilst I thought the plant had arrived well packaged, within a week of having the plant I noticed three of the branches has snapped so quite a lot of the leaves had died and had to be cut off. It’s now a lot smaller than it was when I had paid for a large plant, but hopefully it will grow back.

I have given this three stars because I did not receive an email acknowledging my order, which I believe is a fundamental element of on-line ordering. I was about to get on the phone when I received a notification that my order would be delivered the next day. The packaging was very good and the order was brought up to the office space rather than left at reception. The plant was very dry but is healthy and hopefully it will grace the office for several years to come.

Hi Eve Thank you for your feedback. As a general rule we do not part ship orders unless specifically requested to do so. Given the size of our parcels and also that many contain a plant and pot, we have found that most customers preference is to receive the order all together. Your order included a large planter that we do not hold in stock. This was shown on the website as being a "special order" item with a 1-2 week lead time and a message to confirm that your order would be dispatched once all have all items in stock.
