We’ve been helping our customers create beautiful homes with our made-to-measure blinds, curtains, shutters and awnings for over 50 years.

Choosing the right window treatments can feel overwhelming, but with Hillarys you don't have to worry. When you buy a window dressing from us you can be sure it’s been lovingly finished to the highest standard by our skilled manufacturing team.

Every new design goes through a rigorous testing process that checks it will meet the demands of the average home. If the fabrics don’t meet our standards, they don’t make it into our range. Only the best performing styles should be in your home. It’s as simple as that!

When you book an in-home appointment, your friendly and knowledgeable local advisor will bring along samples of our full product range for you to have a look at, and they’ll work with you to find the right solution for your space. Our team knows all the tricks of the trade, bringing years of experience and expertise right to your doorstep.

They’ll take care of everything, from precise measuring to flawless installation, for a stress-free and stylish finish.

“Very bad customer service ordered vertical blinds and payed on 15th May to be fitted on 1st June, They did not fit them so ask for refund and that also has not happened. I phone but have not got not got any satisfaction.”

We understand how frustrating it must have been to have your vertical blinds fitting not go ahead as planned after payment was made on 15 May, and then experience further delays when requesting a refund. This is not the level of service we aim to provide. We can confirm that your refund has now been processed and should be showing in your account. Depending on your bank or card provider, it may take a short time to appear, but the payment has been issued from our side. We also apologise for the difficulties you experienced when trying to obtain an update. “I will start by saying the fitter Tony, was lovely. Thats where the positive experience ends. We chose blinds based on our conversation together with photos from the brochure. However once they were fitted we were very unhappy with the way that one of the blinds looked, this was a sky light window and there were 3 cords which run through the middle and the length of the window and stay in place when the blind is open. They look messy and unsightly and are not pictured in any of the promotional material, neither were they discussed with us. For 3 weeks I have attempted to get some form of resolution from Hillarys but any communication (which had to be chased every time) pushed the blame on to us. Apparently this is an 'easential part' of the blind and we should have known this and shouldn't have agreed to the order. This is either untrue or it has been photoshopped out of their own photos? It isnt mentioned anywhere and isnt shown in any examples. They tried to suggest we were shown a sample (we were but this showed colour and material no cords or mechanism) and then finally claimed we were told they would look like this! We were not! They refused any resolution and refused to take our complaint further. Thankfully we paid by credit card and our card company requested evidence from us which included our confirmation, photos of our blind and photos from Hillarys website and the card company quickly agreed that Hillarys had mis sold and misrepresented the blinds we ordered and they reversed the full payment (£388). I would not recommend ordering from this company. There is a large facebook group dedicated to their appalling after sales service - i recommend checking this out before ordering as I wish I had. They are deceitful, photo shopping photos, lieing about conversations and deleting any complaints or negative/ truthful comments from social media. If you have any issues I wouldn't trust Hillarys to resolve them and would instigate a chargeback with your card company asap.”

We understand that customers rely on the information, samples and images available during the sales process when making their purchasing decisions, and we regret that the finished product did not meet your expectations. Our records indicate that the blind supplied was manufactured and installed in accordance with the specification agreed at the time of order. The cord system referenced forms part of the design and operation of this particular blind type. While we appreciate that you feel this feature was not adequately represented or discussed, we are unable to verify the details of conversations that took place during the consultation and therefore cannot comment on differing recollections of what was said. “Appointment booked and Hillarys arrived on time. Measured up the window for an electric blind, fabric chosen, and Appointment made for fitting. All completed within three weeks.Very impressed with tidy workmanship and customer very pleased with ease of use .”

“Customer service was good, fair price and delivery. Antony, our fitter was excellent, very polite, friendly and helpful. My only complaint is not being informed by head office that our fitting date had changed.”

“We have had Hilarys fit blinds to all rooms in our house over a period of time and have always been very pleased and satisfied with the service and high quality products provided. We have always been fortunate to have their representative advisor Shaun Cox, 118035, and from the initial measuring/selection appointment, right the way through to fitting he kept us informed of developments and timescales. He always provides an excellent and professional job and nothing is to much trouble. The latest blind has finished off our bathroom refurbishment project beautifully. Thanks Shaun and Hilarys.”

“I had a really bad experience with them. Your advisor and those taking curtain measurements seem to work in different companies, poor communication and planning. Moreover: - we fixed an appointment at home for curtains measurements and the cancelled last minute, when I already wasted an afternoon at work. I work in the nhs and this was really upsetting. No explanation or apology - same person told me he’d come to set up curtains in my 3 rooms, but when I double checked a few days before (as at that point I didn’t trust them), they told me he’d set up one room only, as he didn’t receive the other 2 orders - Asked to rectify this and I get no answers to emails or text. A nightmare and very poor customer service and satisfaction Don’t spend all this money (it’s ££££!) as it’s NOT worth it”

“Hillary’s made beautiful curtains for us. Much better than John Lewis. Marc Braithwaite was such a lovely chap. He couldn’t do enough for us when fitting our curtains. (Sorry for delayed review but not forgotten 😊) A really positive experience”
