Your intro document was very interesting, as were the tips and advice, and I shall follow it up in the near future. I intend to take your advice and apply for a NHS instrument first and see how that works. If not satisfied I will look for private one. Kind Regards James”

“Your consumer guide is excellent & should be read before going for a hearing test! I learnt so much about hearing aids & those who dispense them. In my opinion always go to an independent specialist. Stay away from the well known large companies as they will charge a lot more for the same aid because of all their overhead costs which you will pay! My own experience at one of the large companies was dire and I never went for my fitting and claimed my deposit back.”

“Excellent informative guide on hearing aids and the places they can be purchased. However I would have liked more information on your hearing tests, such as where they would be arranged.”

“I do not have an aid and trying to find out independent information which was comprehensive and impartial was proving impossible. With your brilliant Guide, I can now distinguish between what info will be partial to each provider and what is determined by the technology of all and individual aid manufacturers. You only learn the truth if you know what questions to ask. Your guide is a good springboard from which to leap into the waters of individual branded products. Thank you. Perhaps looking more into the advantages of wireless technology would be really interesting because by now, I trust your clear analysis of the various problems inherent with a product which won't be so easy to read elsewhere. I have yet to find a survey of the brands mentioned in your guide, I suppose this would be too large to undertake.”

This reply is quite a long time after your review but your feedback was taken on board and the website redesigned. The hearing aids always stated price for one and price for a pair, but that was not obvious if you were looking at them all in a list format at the same time. This has now been rectified and I hope that the website is now easier to use. Kind regards, David
