I was quite impressed when I contacted Hearingaid as I was contacted the next day by an audiologist and we arranged for them to meet with my mother to test her hearing and order some hearing aids. It seems what this organisation does it put you in touch with a company that can help, in this case it was The Hearing World. We ordered the best hearing aids we could get for my mother - they said they would be ready in two weeks - no contact. I have chased and chased and now have an appointment for them to be fitted - 5 weeks later!! They also wanted payment up front - around £4000. My mother has recently had to go in to a home and it was crucial she had some hearing aids so she could communicate with the other residents. This hasn't happened and has had a great impact on her experience. Not happy at all. We are now two months in and one of the Oticon hearing aids doens't work. This is the fourth time we have had to contact them and this time they want us to send the hearing aids to them rather than them come out as they don't have time. Dreadful service.

Hi Sylvia and Caroline, As you know, our audiologist has been in contact with you since this review and has updated us too. From our understanding the patient was seen on the 8th of October, the devices arrived on the 28th and they were contacted on the 29th for a fitting appointment. As the patient lives 3 hours away they couldn't be seen any sooner, at your request. However, the patient was happy to be seen sooner and an appointment was booked for Thursday 7th November. Unfortunately, this appointment was cancelled by the patient and rebooked for Friday 8th, which was also cancelled. A third appointment was booked so the patient was seen as soon as possible on the 11th, which was cancelled. The audiologist has updated us and ensured that they have tried so much to see the patient on different occasions, whilst making other arrangements. I understand you have stated that you will remove or revise the review soon. I have sent you a revision email for your convenience. Very poor follow up. I've heard nothing following the appointment 2 weeks ago. Still waiting for pricing and hearing test results.

Was put in touch with an audiologist who supposedly had a Bristol clinic. When he got in touch he told me he no longer had a clinic or any premises in Bristol. He said he had informed hearing aid numerous times over the last couple of years that he no longer had a Bristol office, but they continued to refer people.

Sorry Mr Noble, we got this wrong. We do have a clinic in Bristol but you were passed to the audiologist who has the clinic in Bath and does home visits in Bristol. I understand that you are booked in to see him but if you would prefer to go to our Bristol clinic, please do call us or email us back and we will arrange that for you. I found your booklet quite informative as it’s difficult finding anything impartial about hearing aids. However, I have severe hearing loss and as I have major problems with my hearing aids at present thought I would try asking you for advice. Unfortunately I found the sound poor and didn’t feel that I could get any help.......a great disappointment!

Your web site, price list, doesn't state that your prices are for a pair of Hearing aids or one. A Major negative

This reply is quite a long time after your review but your feedback was taken on board and the website redesigned. The hearing aids always stated price for one and price for a pair, but that was not obvious if you were looking at them all in a list format at the same time. This has now been rectified and I hope that the website is now easier to use. Kind regards, David
