Looking for information on a hearing aid for myself i came across your site. You rang me within 48hrs and kindly fixed for a local company to contact me regarding appointment. Alll good so far except the local company have not got back to me and i don't know who they are so am unable to proceed. Your service was great, the folks you deal with...not so much.

I received a follow up call shortly after inputting my details. After taking entirely relevant and necessary details I was contacted by the local independent audiology company My first consultation was yesterday and new hearing aids will be fitted in a fortnight. The hearing review was comprehensive and far more detailed than with my previous large chain supplier. I'm looking forward to my new hearing aids and, hopefully, their increased effectiveness following the comprehensive consultation and testing

I can only praise their honesty. A local audiologist had told me my ears were wonderful and clean, tested my hearing and recommended expensive hearing aids. Luckily i decided to get a second opinion from this company and a lovely audiologist came to see me at my home. He found one of my ears was almost totally blocked with wax! He explained that i needed to get this sorted out before a hearing test could be done. i was extremely grateful to him for his honesty and professional manner which is more than i can say for the first company. I would definitely contact them again if i decide to go down the private route.

Louise McBride called to discuss my hearing aid needs. She is a consummate professional who helped greatly with my new aid choice, conducting a full hearing test and suggesting my options. At no point was she a pushy sales person, which was much appreciated. She left me to make up my own mind, in my own time, about what I would buy. I placed my order after four days' of thought and research.

I was quite impressed when I contacted Hearingaid as I was contacted the next day by an audiologist and we arranged for them to meet with my mother to test her hearing and order some hearing aids. It seems what this organisation does it put you in touch with a company that can help, in this case it was The Hearing World. We ordered the best hearing aids we could get for my mother - they said they would be ready in two weeks - no contact. I have chased and chased and now have an appointment for them to be fitted - 5 weeks later!! They also wanted payment up front - around £4000. My mother has recently had to go in to a home and it was crucial she had some hearing aids so she could communicate with the other residents. This hasn't happened and has had a great impact on her experience. Not happy at all. We are now two months in and one of the Oticon hearing aids doens't work. This is the fourth time we have had to contact them and this time they want us to send the hearing aids to them rather than them come out as they don't have time. Dreadful service.

Hi Sylvia and Caroline, As you know, our audiologist has been in contact with you since this review and has updated us too. From our understanding the patient was seen on the 8th of October, the devices arrived on the 28th and they were contacted on the 29th for a fitting appointment. As the patient lives 3 hours away they couldn't be seen any sooner, at your request. However, the patient was happy to be seen sooner and an appointment was booked for Thursday 7th November. Unfortunately, this appointment was cancelled by the patient and rebooked for Friday 8th, which was also cancelled. A third appointment was booked so the patient was seen as soon as possible on the 11th, which was cancelled. The audiologist has updated us and ensured that they have tried so much to see the patient on different occasions, whilst making other arrangements. I understand you have stated that you will remove or revise the review soon. I have sent you a revision email for your convenience. My inital query for a contact who could advise me on the replecament of my existing life-expired hearing aids, was responded to the same day by a local audiologist; a mutually convenient home visit was arranged within a week at whch my hearing was tested, suitable new hearing aids recommended. My new hearing aids were fitted a fornight later (that could have been sooner but I was away for a week). Very good set up service and instruction. So far I'm very happy with my expereince.

I have had an exchange of Emails with "Bev" which resulted in a promise to arrange an appointment at my home. This was on Tuesday 15th October. I have had no further contact but I am in no hurry.

Good communication with lots of effort made to work out your needs and context prior to consultation. Not met the audiologist yet so can't comment on the real important stuff yet but so far the attention to detail is good.

The audiologist was very nice and explained my hearing problems to me very well and he also told me the best type of hearing aids for me hearing problems very happy and satisfied with the whole experience.

Contacted hearing aid and spoke to a very nice lady who explained what happens and that my details would be passed on to the audiologist that covers my area, I was contacted by them a few days later ,had my hearing test and I am now fitted with hearing aids, it was a very slick progress.
