“Comparing with haix boots. The laces were not suitable. The lacing hooks are tight and sharp. The sole tread holds on to mud and the boots make a squeaking noise when walking. The wear compared with haix boots is unknown although the rubber does not appear to be as hardwearing . The boot is comfortable and visually the boot is attractive. The lining and padding are well made. The boot is designed to be waterproof but has not been tested. These boots were cheaper than haix equivalent, I have changed the laces and it is a nice looking pair of boots. The haix lacing system is superior and preferable and haix soles are hardwearing, Haix boots are excellent for hiking..grisport to tested”

“I’m a big fan of Grisport. I’m now on my 3rd pair of LOMOND boots. The most recent pair were purchased a couple of weeks ago. I ordered TAN boots, the ones I was sent were Brown. The supplier helpfully offered me a refund. However I decided to put comfort ahead of looks and decided to keep them. The quality of the new pair does not seem as good as the previous boots. The leather no longer looks like high quality leather. I did ask if it was full grain leather but got no response. They have no leather smell and now look like PU (or a similar synthetic/partially synthetic product). The previous boots were soft and supple, the current boots sadly don’t have this quality. Frankly they do not look like a quality product. So - overall the purchase was a slight disappointed. If these boots are a representative sample of GRISPORT products, I will think twice before purchasing more.”

“I like the boots and the are comfortable, BUT I chose these because the website says they are lightweight at 880g per pair, yet this is not the case, they weigh almost 1200g. Nice looking boots though.”

“My Peaklander walking boots are a good fit for my wide feet although I would have loved a half size up to accommodate thicker socks. I had to replace the insoles as I need more comfort and a higher instep, the ones provided were very hard. I was very disappointed with the free gift supposedly worth at least £30, probably less than £20 based on the website prices. I did query with Grisport but they never bothered to get back to me so I am unlikely to order again from them.”

“Very nicely designed but the Lady Glide boots are way too tight where the toes bend - my feet are not wide but these boots would be great if they were wider!”

“Very good quality product and service however no half sizes so had to return. Fit in hiking boots is as important as overall quality to prevent damage to foot. Suggest the introduction of half sizes”

“First pair of shoes I have brought and I have many pairs of grisport shoe that have disappointed me the top of the shoe has a rubber band and makes for a uncomfortable feeling”

“I have 2pairs of Grisport,and they are very comfy.Bought the Icarus,as I wanted something a bit better looking.They look good,but the Crepe type sole are hard with no spring in them and make my feet ache”

“Quality of goods are fine although some scuffing to the front of one pair of boots. Disappointed that walking packs were not included and only 1 hat when 2 pairs of boots ordered. Have emailed twice to see if something has been missed or have I misunderstood the offer but received no acknowledgement or response.”

“My husband bought these a few weeks before me & higly recommended them. However I've worn them 4 times so far but they hurt the balls of my feet even with boot socks. Will buy some gel soles to see if that helps.”

“I love my wellies from Grisport. Still waiting for a reply about my walking shoes which were not in stock after placing the order. Consequently I missed out on my gift pack . Hoping Grisport will honour this as I spent £96”

“I honestly can't give a solid review on the boots I purchased on the 12th of November. The Boots are a Christmas gift. The free accessory Walking Pack finally arrived, 15 days late after the purchase of the boots. However, I do appreciate the free gift the "Walking Pack' it consist of a pair of boot laces, boot bag and 1 pair of green socks.”

“Flimsy laces. The boots seem robust with good sole and tread. Unfortunately they are not very comfortable and will need to be worn in. The right boot causes pain on the inside of the ankle bone. I am playing around with lacing and hopefully they will become more comfortable with use.”

“Good Morning, Whilst I am impressed with your product range please note that the reason I have returned the boots I purchased was due to their colour in the catalogue being obviously Brown not virtually Black on the delivered boots. Unfortunately as my wife said they almost looked like "biker" boots so not suitable for a Ranger role I do.”

“Reluctantly purchased a pair of Java Trekking due to disappointment with a previous pair of latitude where he sole came away on both feet after 18 months. Never heard a peep from customer services. Their shoes are normally very good as they are wide fitting.”

“Good service the Boots I had where to small so i returned them I had a refund even if they had fitted I still would have returned them because I phoned grisport and asked were the boots on the web site the colour of the picture and the assistant said yes when they arrived they were a totally different colour to the ones on the web site that I liked very disappointed that’s the reason I had a refund”

“Boots are great, but disappointing when brochure in box said boots were cheaper than I paid 3 days earlier. When you phone and advise a bit of empathy would have been nice. So practical service is good but customer long term care is poor in my experience.”
