Nice boot spoilt by poor stitching on tongue, causing painful pressure on both ankles. Resolved by using scissors to cut out hard lumps.

Sixteen days on and I still haven't received my purchased shoes. I assume they are being held up in Customs, but since they left the UK, I haven't received any tracking information. These foreign purchases used to work, but now they don't.

Although very pleased with comfort and fit of my Trident boots, was very disappointed when caught out in the rain, on short grass, in a very short time, my feet were soaking.

I expected a waterproof boot, but very quickly mine leaked when walking through grass with a heavy dew for an hour or so. I like the boots and am trying waterproofing sprays etc to see if that solves the problem and keeps my feet dry.

I chose Grisport based on other reviews for their comfort but unfortunately and sadly I have found the Lady Wolf Teal Trekking Boots to be rather uncomfortable and can only wear them for about an hour before my feet start to ache, not ideal when out for the day! :(

Seems to be an issue with padding at the rear of the shoe, it is much thinner than my previous walking shoes which were great. As a result of this I got a blister for the firsty time in a long time of using Grisport Boots & Shoes. I'll probably have to look around for some of a higher quality

I bought a pair of wide walking boots for my husband, sadly they were not a wide fit as advertised. They had to be returned.

Customer service does not seem to exist. I contacted twice asking where the free gift was and got no reply. Happy with the shoes though and the prompt delivery.

Worn once, feel comfortable sturdy boots, however not sure on grip as first time I wore them I slipped and hurt myself so wary of wearing them again returned back to my old faithful boots

Boots advertised as waterproof. First time out in rain ( no streams or long wet grass) both feet were wet soaked. Before returning I e mailed to ask if was a common problem or if I was just unlucky. No reply so asked for a refund. Sad as other purchases and service were great. Lost a loyal customer.

I recently purchased the Grisport Crusader boots. Grisport claim that these are ‘the pinnacle of our Backpacking range of walking boots’ and that they are guaranteed ‘comfortable from the box’. I wore the boots at home for a couple of days and they did seem to fit okay, if a bit narrower than I expected for a ‘wider fitting boot’. For their first trial outdoors I chose a fairly flat walk on good paths. However, within two to three miles, on the boots' first easy test walk, I was in absolute agony with something rubbing quite aggressively on my inside right ankle bone. I tried several ways of re-tying the laces but the only way I could gain any relief from the pain was to tie the boot as a walking shoe, leaving the ankle support loose and ineffective. When I highlighted this issue to Grisport Customer Services their response was:  'From what you have said, then there is a possibility that the hook is in the incorrect position or there is not enough padding between the hook and the inside of the boot. Or the boots simply need a period of wearing in.' It was then stated, 'What ever reason, we would like to assess here so would need the boots back for our inspection.' Having duly returned the boots for assessment, a week later I received an email stating, ' We have dealt with your return with a refund.’  When I asked what had been found during the promised assessment, I was told, ‘We do not perform any in depth assessments here, only inspections of the reason for return and deal with them however the customer wants (without actually asking the customer!!). At some point the boots may go back to Italy if requested. Any assessments would then happen then, which could be many months away.’  As I now cannot reach a conclusion on whether the boots were not as they should have been, or it is just me that is not compatible with them, I am unable to commit to buying a further pair of Grisport boots. I feel it is a shame that I have had to look elsewhere for my boots. I was hoping for better from Grisport, but at least I got a refund for the boots without hassle. I was not actually seeking a refund. I’d returned the boots for the assessment which had been promised, but it appears I may have been a little misled on that point.

Sadly Grisport shoes seem small, have an old trusty pair of boots but the walking shoes i ordered were tiny even tho i went a full size up! Come on Grisport, stop cutting back on materials and make boots the right size! I am a 7 usually, ordered an 8 and they were still too small!

I wanted to buy shoes that were temporarily out of stock. Grisport said they would email me when they had them. I did get an email but they were still out of stock. I have not had a reply to my subsequent email.

I am probably going to return my walking boots as they let the water in the first time I wore them and it states that they are waterproof. I am going to give them one more go to see if they still let the water in. Oddly it’s only one boot!

My second but different pair of Grisport hiking boots leaked the first time I wore them even though they were sold as waterproof. Even walking through wet grass made my socks wet. I contacted customer services who suggested a replacement, after a week of to and fro emails and very wet feet I am getting a refund. I have never received a reason why the boots are sold as waterproof yet leaked terribly in quite mild conditions. A replacement was something I questioned as why should an identical pair be any different? I walk 6 miles a day every day and have had wet feet for almost two weeks and will not have nothing to wear until I get my refund and find an alternative. I think the boot isn’t fit for purpose and customer services should have done more to help and answer my questions. I disappointed as I thought from my previous pair I had finally found a good brand. This will submit as Michelle Clarke (old name) my purchase was Michelle Campbell Joy Cottage

I have owned 4 pairs of Grisports excellent Ranger boots and need to renew. On the net I discovered several reputable sites offering these boots substantially cheaper, by as much as £20 so I contacted Grisport and said that I would like to continue to buy direct from them and continue to support their business. Also, on the Grisport website I found a pair of boots that looked identical to the Rangers called decoy and that were substantially cheaper than the Rangers so I emailed and received the following reply "Hi, Yes, they are practically the same boot. Decoy is Dark Brown though. Ranger has the better lining which adds to the cost but the lining in Decoy is more than adequate. Kind regards Gavin" With this information I ordered a pair of Decoys. Faults: Firstly, I would have expected Grisport to at least offer to match the prices advertised elsewhere of their boots and secondly the Decoy boots are not the same, the Ranger is a wide fit and the Decoy is not.
