A little difficulty with the website at first - probably finger trouble on my part - but how refreshing not to receive a pile of leaflets about car, house, drains, travel insurance plus apps for this and that. All very straightforward and simple - thank you.

Simple sales process. Competitive price compared with previous provider. Can't judge the effectiveness of the service at this stage. As with all insurance products I hope I don't need to call you.

I searched on Google for the best breakdown company. I have rated Gem Motoring Assistant as "good" on the basis of their annual quote. However, I have never used their services so can not comment any further.

I am new to GEM and chose you because of price and excellent review by Auto Express to which I subscribe. The only reason I do not give a 'very good' score is because I have 3 vehicles including a classic. I like the look of your more expensive option (which I have chosen) but in your review it seems it would be better with the reclaim option for the classic. It would be better if I could choose a garage of my own for the classic & not have to go to the nearest available at the time if roadside assistance cant sort it and only reclaim up to £70 for transporting the car to my own choice. An extra cost for this would be acceptable. So, in essence it seems one policy is best for an everyday vehicle and one better for a classic. I, like many, have both.

Just a little daunting having to pay upfront upon a call out and reclaim the money which I hope will be simple. Everything else was as simple as it gets on the internet to join, as other advertisements say, no awkward questions so I am optimistic.

Very happy to be back with GEM after a few years awayHave realised that breakdown included with car insurance is usually not worth the paper it’s written only

Brand new to GEM; what will service be like? Will next year's premium go up 70% as the last lot wanted, will I be left in the middle of a freezing Wiltshire by my motorcycle for over two hours. And after crawling through a Kafkaesque system with little 'phone battery left then fixing it myself having borrowed the tools from the trailer guy the RAC hired. Will I stay with them for 24 years like the last lot who let me down with a massive wait every call, even to pay them! (Because everyday is 'exceptionally busy' for them) Or will I be pleasantly surprised? Go on GEM, restore some faith.

Having been abused over the last couple of years by RACs pricing policy which went from 170 with 50 cash back fuel to4 years later 267 which is ludicrous the pricing was fair and we have been with GEM before Please don’t put up your prices The CMA would agree Treat me as a special new customer every year and I will stay loyal
