Easy straightforward joining experience

I would have highlighted 'very good' but for one thing missing. If I were to unfortunately break down, then it would be convenient if I had a windscreen sticker or similar showing me the emergency numbers to ring GEM Assist.

As a brand new member it's a little difficult to write an honest review at this point. What I can say is that the site was easy to negotiate and the price is very reasonable, also the ability to arrange repairs/recovery with local companies seems a very good thing for me (living in the far North of Scotland). If I ever needed to use the service that would be the time to leave to leave a more in depth review.

I recently joined gem; I am impressed with the pricing structure; the level of customer service, and the fact that gem have additional services which compliment the core offering.I haven't broken down since I joined gem so cannot comment on experiences related to that right now.

Signing up online was simple and seemed to include all of the information needed to make a decision. I will have to wait and see how good the actual breakdown service is, hopefully I won't need it!

Having had enough of several other service providers, their dubious business methods & lack of principled integrity, I found GEM via online reviews. Sign up was very easy, information & cover details were refreshingly clear & to the point, voiding the the necessity for direct enquiries. I am content with my new cover & have far more confidence in what they say they can provide & do should the need arise. The only downside was the lack of a monthly payment plan for those on low incomes; but the policy cost was excellent compared to the AA (twice the cost & some), who wanted in excess of £220 for my cover needs. At this point I can heartily recommend GEM as the best of all such service providers.

Just sorted my break down cover with them so can not comment on their service as yet. Talked to customer support though about adding my husband and they was helpful to sort it promptly.

I am a new member so havent needed to use the service so far but joining up was very easy on line & all the reviews I saw were very good, which gave my partner and I the confidence to join.

This is a review of the "joining experience". It was easy apart from the fact that I couldn't set up a direct debit. It wasn't clear why.

Not had to use them yet. Had good feedback from friends over about 10 years so decided this was the year to give it a go. Easy to join is all I can say so far.

I haven't yet had to utilise their good services, thankfully, but I have no doubt that the write up given by Which?, the Consumers Association, is accurate. Certainly obtaining membership through a no-fuss, straight forward online system is very refreshing. Having a one price option instead of having to negotiate after receiving a greatly inflated quotation year on year will be a very welcome, peace of mind, no-nonsense form of business. Thank you for being an innovative and simple way of getting motoring support. A breath of fresh air.

Signing up was easy. Price good. And recommended by “Which” Provider. Web pages could be clearer. Had to look for policy schedule. Could be better displayed.
