been with gem for last year, but disappointed as my renewal price for the next year was more expensive than a new customer for same cover. didnt go via renewal option but chose a new customer option and saved £20. There isnt a no claim discount offer but price and personal cover option is a lot cheaper than 'start rescue' who i was with for 3 years.

Although I haven't had time to use gem recovery I have found the starting of the membership and sign up,very straight forward..

I hope I never really need to test out their emergency services, my cousin has had the need and was very impressed and pleased. This is only my second year of membership but have been pleased with how competitively priced it was/is, add to that a very good magazine and the main point for me= no automatic renewal. Well done.

I like being reminded ahead of time. I also like the fact you do not renew automatically charging my card, like certain other insurers. Your product is reasonably priced and stable.

Only experienced joining on line and this was quick and easy. Found out all I needed from the Web site and was happy with the price for what they are offering. Received emails with info straight after submission ...so far so good!

Brilliant service from the call center, quick & efficient. Didn't appreciate receiving the same 6 text every hour, from 1.30am to 6.30am confirming the transaction, when I had to be up for work that day.

i would like to know why i havnt received any new breakdown cards after re newing again this year

European cover looked like an after thought on the site.It also is rather expensive though I can understand why to some extent.

Looking for a breakdown cover for myself and my wife, found this company was number 1 on the JD Power ratings - the process was very quick and painless on line - the options given were well explained, hopefully I will never have to call them - but the customer service so far is very good.

been very pleased so for with my service have been a member now for a year had to call out 2 times for puncture due to my car not having spare . modern cars . they came out on time and sorted very quickly .

Luckily I have not had a breakdown problem for a long time. When I did need help a few years ago I was very pleased with the service I received.
