I've not had to make a claim, so I can't say how their support is. I received a fair bit back on my refund (£200+) because of my high score with the blackbox. Their website / blackbox metrics are pretty bad. Lots of room for improvement - but you won't look at this often so. (Probs a bit picky, I'm a developer myself).

As a new driver it very useful not to make silly mistakes and know your mistakes and helps to improve it. Found it really helpful and want to recommend any one who want have cheap car insurance and safe journey.

there was a lot of hassle at the beginning with regards to payments but it got sorted out. with regards to scores though the acceleration score is below 50 90% of journeys and most of the time below 25 when my acceleration is no where near as bad as that would suggest otherwise scores seem accurate

It seems good in theory. But I drive an automatic. So it doesn't always change gears when it should. This has negatively affected my score. And I can't fix it because I am not in control of that. Unfair. Can't wait to get different insurance.

Hi, Having an automatic should not affect your scores as long as you still drive smoothly. The braking and acceleration looks at how smoothly you pick up and drop down speed. The smoother and more gradual this is the better the score will be. WiseDriving is amazing! Been with them 3 months and have already been given a refund on my premium for my good driving which made me feel really good and made my confidence with my driving go up! The only issue I have is that my car was taken for a service on its transmission so had to have its breaks tested(transmission would change into neutral when I breaked) in different ways which put my breaking score down to zero around two months ago and it hasn’t gone up since. Other than this, I think the refund is an amazing incentive for you to be a careful and better driver and would 100% recommend wisedriving to any new driver!

Avoid at all costs - Took about a month and after installing my telematics box and countless hours on the phone, emails and letters before they decided my box was faulty. I was threatened with having my insurance cancelled many times which was very worrying as they said it would cost me £75 for a cancellation fee PLUS £150 for the telematics box along with any days I had been covered for. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

My policy was cancelled due a misunderstanding on my behalf as Wise failed to inform me to call up and make a payment as I was under the impression that I was resetting up a direct debit to be taken from my account. Due to the Ambiguity in their correspondence I raised a dispute to investigate. Well, many phonecalls calling to chase up, lack of competency in basic customer service managers, a few understanding customer service agents, lots and lots of repetition and absolutely nothing has been done. AVOID at all costs, they had soo many glitches on their end in the short time that I was with them.
