Never had problems with contacting the company but the black box scores me very low on acceleration and braking when I’m doing neither too much?

I have been charged rexently extra amount and recieved no explanation. Informed you I could not afford the payment and was still charged with no other options, this is terrible customer service and you have left me in a horrible position.

Being insured by wise driving has given me to opportunity to see an understand my driving ability. Which in all gives me confidence. Furthermore as an addition bonus I get money back due to be a good driver.

No matter how low revs and how slow I accelerate black box penalises it and needs to be measured more accurately

Hi M A Q, If there is any change to the policy we would send you correspondence to you via email. If this change affects the price of the insurance the funding company would also send you correspondence to confirm any change to the monthly payments. Your app doesn’t work, how is it possible to keep a record with of how my driving performance is going if I can’t keep track via the app - shambles. Not only this but setting up the box itself was a nightmare - you could barely assist me and it took us overall 6 weeks to have the box sorted on your end. I wouldn’t recommend you to ANYONE, and won’t be renewing my Policy at the end of the year.

Hi James, The app is only available for our mobile app device policies. This is advised before downloading the app. Black box policyholders can access their dashboard via the "My Account" section of our website. I was skeptical to go with Wise Driving after reading reviews, but as a new driver, I've not had any problems. The only negative I have is you get penalised for driving after 10-11pm I think it is and your score goes down, that's not very fair or helpful as I work until later than that so need to travel. My score is a bit like a rollercoaster even though I drive safely, which leaves me wondering if I should just walk and not drive 😂 All in all, it's not as bad as it seems, but then again I've not had to use it for a claim or anything.

Hi Daniel, The time of day is recorded as statistics show you're more likely to have an accident between 11 pm and 5 am. It's a common misconception that as the roads are quieter at night this means they're safer, and a higher number of accident happen during the day so this must mean it is more dangerous during the day. This is not the case, based on the number of cars on the roads at each time a higher percentage during the night are involved in accidents. Driving at night also comes with its own hazards such as reduced visibility, glare from lights, a higher chance of drink drivers, tiredness and so on. Reduces visibility means other road users, pedestrians, cyclist, animals, the direction of the road or signs are harder to see or will become visible later. If you also mix this with bad weather conditions this can make the roads even more lethal. We are also all aware that there are road users out there who feel they can drive faster and more recklessly at night as the roads are clearer, they can put themselves and those who do drive more sensibly at night in danger. By not driving or reducing the amount you drive at night you reduce your risk of being involved in an accident. We hope this explains this more for you. Thanks,

I love the idea that by tracking the way I drive you reassess your charging methods/costs. It makes total sense, why on earth has it only just been started. I don’t know if you are the first car insurance company to do this, but I think I’ll be using your services for years to come. Thankyou.

Yes I have had money reimbursed but would rather pay the low amount first and if my driving is bad it goes up. Unless u will loose customers on the first prices shown
