“A strait forward process getting our on-line house and contents cover at a very reasonable price (compared to other players in the market) Generally communications appear to be efficient however, I was a little confused when (as a new customer) I received an e-mail entitled “We’ve got you covered (again)’” and I really don’t understand why you felt it necessary to send me this message 8 times!”

“Although I am happy with the level of cover and the end price, it was frustrating to see the ‘bait and switch’ upselling techniques (low price shown on the comparison sites, but then a whole raft of options that are made to make you feel like you’ll end up with a sub-par policy if you don’t upgrade), but I guess that is standard across the board now to get the punters in. Let’s hope the service is as bulletproof as the other reviews suggest.”

“I use home protection for a few houses. I find it good value and the communication is good. I fortunately haven't had to claim anything yet, so I can't comment on this area. It is easy to find policies online, however if you have more that one policy you have to look at each house individually. Previously you could see them all and this was more user friendly.”

“This is the third year we have a house insurance with homeprotect. Till now we are happy with the price and online fill in form which is easy too do. No complaints thus far. But luckily we didn't need to report any damage or break in. Overall all is good.”

“If your requirements are a bit out of the ordinary then Homeprotect will most likely be a very good option for your home insurance requirements. The only slight complication is difference in rice for same insurance requirements depending on whether you go direct or via the various market comparison sites , so it's definitely worth shopping around.”

“I spoke to 2 different employees on the phone & both were friendly & helpful. The second one also knew a bit about locks, which was useful in determining what locks we have. Both were very pleasant and conscientious.”

“Home insurance is a big market and there are lots of things needed to be taken into account. I had a claim after the big storm and had not realised that so many others were involved in the claim. It went well overall once a got the “swing of things””
