“I was in the process of extending my holiday and requested my insurer to give me info on what was not/what was covered in my insurance policy and how much would it cost to cover to extend my policy to cover an extra 2 weeks (max 45 days). The gentleman I spoke to basically told me his company could not stop me going on holiday and then read out a long list of exclusions and to me it sounded like if I went on holiday, I had no cover. I then went on Compare the Market and Homeprotect was at the top of the list so I completed an online request for a quote and mentioned my unoccupied period. The resulting quote not only covered the unoccupied period with what seemed fewer exclusions but was also a lot cheaper than I was paying. As they say a 'No-brainer'. I'm over £100.00 better off and with a more acceptable list of exclusions for an unoccupied property. Plus, Customer Services were helpful when contacted for assurance that my policy would/did cover the arranged unoccupied period.”

“Good site easy to navigate unfortunately it didn't hold all information when I pressed buy so need to call them to update information so please be aware. May just be my phone but not sure!”

“I've just taken out a policy with Homeprotect. My case was slightly more complicated and couldn't be covered by a normal home insurance policy. I phoned to arrange it and found them very knowledgeable and helpful. I would recommend them.”

“It's my second year with Home Protect. I've renewed yet again because I've found them very responsive and helpful. I always get to speak to a real person on the phone (a real plus) when discussing my cover, and they are available till late in the evenings and Saturdays. Most importantly, their cover and their premiums are very competitive. The only thing I can't comment on is their response to claims, because I have never needed to make any claim with them up to this point!”
