After replying to an email about the renewal of my policy on the same day, saying I do not wish to renew I was still charged the direct debit for the insurance also after calling about this I will told I could not have my money back for 3-5 days.

Changed mind one day after taking out policy to be charged£45 admin fee. Which is disgusting as i did all the work filling in online. Daylight robbery!

It is surprise to hear International licence is cheaper than UK to insure ? My wife's detailes passed as "International'. They asked additional £200 to change to UK licence. I cancelled the policy, but lost £45 -"admin fee".

Not good. Very poor customer service. No one ever seems to know anything when I call and no one cares about taking care of clients. No organisation and isn't run professionally. I'm disappointed as I went with them because the price was competitive and supposedly run by women, but now I wish I would have gone with a more reputable company.

charge of £25 administration charge simply to amend a name spelling incorrectly entered online. ridiculous

Another person signing up to say what a rip off the admin charges are with this company. They clearly seek to penalise their customers (or in my case not even a customer yet as insurance not started). Avoid like the plague. The comments on here that they are looking in to cases are also false - I escalated my call to customer manager and they are not interested. £25 to change details before a policy starts, £45 to cancel same policy - again before it starts. Clearly make their money from charging people for nothing.

Took out a policy yesterday to start at the end of the month - almost three weeks away. Phoned to make a small change and told £25 amendment fee to do so - even though policy not started. Said OK - I'll go elsewhere then, and told £45 fee to leave - again even though policy not started. Rip off company who I am will now report to the Ombudsman.

Go Girl Insurance, or should I say ‘the computer says NO’ company!? I had my first years renewal quote through of £383.90. My policy expired at midnight and therefore I called (the Sunday morning) to renew my policy but was told that it now my policy had expired (11hrs ago) I had to apply for a quote again but could only do this online, so I did. The new quote was now £655.60 WOW a massive £271.70 increase. I phone customer service to see if they could help with the cost but was told the system didn’t allow this ‘computer says NO” and I would have to pay £655.60. No where in the renewal email did it state that the quote would expire once the policy ran out and this wa the very next morning but I was told by customer services at Go Girl (‘computer says NO’) that ‘this was obvious’… not to me it wasn’t. I now face paying an extra £271.70 for renewing my policy or starting a new policy 11hrs after it expired…RIP OFF!!! Anyway they did me a HUGE favour as I went to Sheilas wheels and got cover for £257.53, massive £398.07 cheaper for the year. So thanks GOGIRL (‘computer says NO”) for being so UNHELPFUL and so INSULTING during our dealings with each other…NEVER AGAIN. My advice DO NOT USE GO GIRL INSURANCE!

Bought insurance on line. Rang to change the start date 5 minutes after activating and wanted another £169. Start date and expiry date not clear. Cancelled the policy and cost £45. Most expensive policy ever. Works out at £4,665,600 per year.

Simple mistake on the online forms, I rang with in 2 mins of the insurance going live and charged £69 to change. Will not use again

I have had go girl insurance for my son for nearly two years now, all been fine. until you need to change something then they want to charge you ridiculous fees!! We have now moved address with 2 and a half months left till insurance due for renewal. My son called them and told need to pay £97.00 for living in a higher risk area (I'm in the countryside!) seems outrageous for the time left and also then have to pay an admin fee of 25.00 ridiculous! needless to say I will not be renewing with them in May and definitely do not recommend they obviously make their money on so called admin fees and address charges. By the way my insurance charged me nothing for address change (one call)

Took out a policy, within hours they wanted driving licence copies, so I did that. Then they wanted a copy of the V5, so I did that. They then queried that the V5 states 55hp but the details that I submitted state 54hp! I twas stated to me that I ticked the box to state all details were correct, which I did in good faith. I used Go Compares auto look up to find my car so presumed that when it came up with the correct car that the hp would be correct! It seems you are supposed to check your V5 against this, so be warned, the "find my car" tab and you thinking that the details are correct, isn't necessarily the case!

After being a customer of 2 years to go girl, after getting a new car my insurance price went sky high. Upon ringing go girl to see what they could do for me. A disinterested operator answered and simply told me 'we can't do anything' I happily cancelled the service. Now been waiting over 2 weeks almost 3 for my no claims bonus to be sent to me. Have sent countless emails have tried calling and nothing has been returned. Absolutely disgusted by the way this company has treated me after being a loyal customer for two years. Am very glad I will no longer be using them. Don't use absolute waste of time.

Absolutely disgusting, don't waist your money choose a decent insurer. they have no compassion no understanding or anything, they don't mention important info. I'd sooner spend £100s to go with someone else

The customer service is poor staff unfriendly and unhelpful. Bought a policy for my son didn't realize you had to notify if you change jobs.. Son a apprentice and a student still at college, charged £180 more for remainder of policy. Threatened to cancel insurance if not paid within 7 days.. So rude said we should read All terms and conditions. Will not be using this company again

Ordered online insurance for my daughter and was unable to add a years no claims despite being eligible because she has only been driving for a year. I rang the next day with proof of No claims and was told i would have to pay £25 for the amendment. Next day a lady rang to say that I would be charged another £25 because the driving license date was wrong and another £400 was due from the insurer. I had put her provisional licence date rather than full date, but was not asked this on the website. I followed the website advise so feel very angry that I am being charged crazy amounts. I have cancelled the policy after 2 days & have found I will be charged £70 for the privilege so this company have had £120 from me for doing absolutely nothing! The staff were all very rude & totally uncaring. I will not recommend this company to anyone.

Bad customer service. Each advisor gives a different answer to the previous. Managers aren't helpful and are rather rude. Very expensive to make changes. £25 a time. £45 to cancel within 14 days cooling off period.

I put a review on here a couple of days ago after being unhappy with paying two admin fees in the space of days and also just the hidden costs in Go Girl. I received a message that someone would call me to discuss my review and someone did later that day. They agreed to refund one of the admin fees. Great!! Well it was until the woman said I know you updated your policy to include driving to work but that is not business insurance. Oh, I didnt know. Oh well I said I dont use my car to carry anyone else. Do you go to other work locations I was asked. I said yes now and then I have to attend a meeting at another service or pop to head office usually about once a month and no more than 5 miles. Apparently that will cost me another £100 plus pounds to add to the £100 i paid the other day when I realised that domestic use does not include getting yourself to work. I think this is truely shocking and im sure there must be other people not understanding that they are not insured. I will be changing my policy soon as i can. Go girl are cheap because at basic level you are hardly covered for anything . Be warned.
