This insurance company is the worse company I have ever had experience with. They carry out their checks after they tie you in and then up the charges. Customer service is extremely poor. Seriously think twice if you are considering Go Girl.

Recently started a GoGirl policy having received a quote via a compare site. Filled everything in accurately and thoroughly. I am the main driver and I added three additional drivers (my husband, my son on a provisional licence and a friend). This is a car that is rarely used. The friend is on the policy just because he has an unreliable car at the moment and I wanted to help him out. He recently got pulled over and was told by the police officer that he wasn't insured for commuting. Fortunately he was insured under his own policy. The other drivers don't use the car for commuting. Naively I had assumed that Social, Domestic and Pleasure covered commuting - and there was no question about commuting on the compare site to tick. The police officer said it was fine, that if he had an accident while commuting he would just have to claim on his own insurance. But GoGirl rang and insisted they wanted to charge us for adding commuting (no alternative), adding a new address as the fourth driver who didn't live with us, and changing our home type to a public house (even though we had given our address which clearly states "Inn" and we had listed ourselves as landlady and landlord). So I just asked for the friend to be removed from the policy as he could just claim from his own insurance if anything happened - and they wanted to charge me MORE!! They clearly don't want my business. The type of company that give insurance a bad name. Just after your money. Please be careful using compare sites as there was no opportunity to provide them with the information they want and you get penalised if they find anything missing after you have paid. It makes me feel sick to think what might have happened had we needed to make a claim.

I called up as I had just moved in with my partner so I wanted to change the address - I was met by the most terrible customer service I have ever had in my life - very rude didn't care wanted £500 for the move and when I expressed I couldn't do that as I have no money in the bank due to the move he then said that I needed to pay £131.65 today with a £25 admin fee - when I said I honestly couldn't afford that he said then he'll terminate the contract leaving me with no car to drive and it'll be a cancellation fee - so would leave me in the minus - I'm very unhappy he left me scared and now will have to try to cover the extortionate costs so I have a car to drive. I would advise to not use this company - if I could afford to cancel I would

My son took out a policy And rear ended someone at v slow speed. After a few weeks Of info gathering and interviews (the other driver was Claiming a whiplash) He received a letter saying they were terminating his policy and not covering the claim because Of his "conduct". This came Completely out of the blue. What on earth is going on with this company. I feel an Ombudsman complaint Coming on..it's his first year of motoring poor chap, to be faced with this.

Not happy. Old policy coming to an end. Getting a new car so rang for a quote as my current policy has not yet expired only to be told I can't get a quote over the phone and to go online. Got a quote but it's more than £200 higher than quotes I've had. Rang customer service only to be told no price match and very dismissive employee not at all concerned to be losing a customer of three years.

Took out a policy and realised within 24hrs it had the wrong start date so phoned and asked them to change it and GoGirl said it would cost £69 to change the start date to earlier. The other option was a £45 cancellation fee. The were very unhelpful and showed no understanding even though we wanted to start policy earlier. The costs above are outrageous and what happened to cooling off period.

Terrible customer service staff who are rude and speak to you like you've interrupted a teenagers party. Tons of emails at the start asking for letters & copies of this copies of that. Will not allow you to set a date for your insurance to come out so you have no idea of the due date (however I am advised that it is hidden in the small print that it will come out 22 days after you start the policy). Having paid 2 months in advance had thought I had at least one payday to leave the payment in the bank account but no! 3 months payments taken in one calendar month and a £20 charge on top for the privilege for a "default" payment. Disgusting behaviour from the call centre team 15 years in customer service and the worst I have ever spoken to. Will never use this company again.

Absurd prices, terrible customer service and blatantly disrespectful. I was paying almost £2200 to insure my little Peugeot 206 when just under three months into the policy, my car broke down. I found a few other small cars I was interested in but Go Girl told me it'd be an extra £440 to insure a Fiat Punto, or an extra £800 for a Ford Fiesta, and so on. These prices were absolutely crazy - I couln't believe it! By this time I was sick of constantly calling them to check whether this car or that car would be reasonable to insure so I asked them what car would keep the cost the same and they gave me a lost of 5 or 6 small cars, another Peugeot 206 being one of them. So I listen up and buy another Peugeot 206. Lo and behold - they tell me it will cost an EXTRA £504 to insure the SAME car I had previously. They told me it was because it was a more luxurious version (doesn't that make it safer?) and because the price goes up once I've had the same car twice! This reasoning is ludicrous and surely doesn't add half a grand, let alone after they tell me a Peugeot 206 is a safe bet! We can't cancel because that would lose us £800 so we had no choice but to pay the ridiculous excess... Go Girl is a no go - once your circumstances change they will rip you off because they know you are vulnerable. And don't even bother asking them to explain as the customer service is the worst I have ever experienced.

Worst customer support i have EVER recieved - messed me around for THREE weeks upon a crash leaving me without a car when i was meant to start a new job. Wrote a complaint which has also been blatently ignored, upon trying to change factors on my policy today i was completely ignored by the assitant who had a 'i cant be arsed' attitude. If you're a young women do not use this company - they wont take you seriously :-)

After replying to an email about the renewal of my policy on the same day, saying I do not wish to renew I was still charged the direct debit for the insurance also after calling about this I will told I could not have my money back for 3-5 days.

It is surprise to hear International licence is cheaper than UK to insure ? My wife's detailes passed as "International'. They asked additional £200 to change to UK licence. I cancelled the policy, but lost £45 -"admin fee".

Not good. Very poor customer service. No one ever seems to know anything when I call and no one cares about taking care of clients. No organisation and isn't run professionally. I'm disappointed as I went with them because the price was competitive and supposedly run by women, but now I wish I would have gone with a more reputable company.

Another person signing up to say what a rip off the admin charges are with this company. They clearly seek to penalise their customers (or in my case not even a customer yet as insurance not started). Avoid like the plague. The comments on here that they are looking in to cases are also false - I escalated my call to customer manager and they are not interested. £25 to change details before a policy starts, £45 to cancel same policy - again before it starts. Clearly make their money from charging people for nothing.

Took out a policy yesterday to start at the end of the month - almost three weeks away. Phoned to make a small change and told £25 amendment fee to do so - even though policy not started. Said OK - I'll go elsewhere then, and told £45 fee to leave - again even though policy not started. Rip off company who I am will now report to the Ombudsman.

Go Girl Insurance, or should I say ‘the computer says NO’ company!? I had my first years renewal quote through of £383.90. My policy expired at midnight and therefore I called (the Sunday morning) to renew my policy but was told that it now my policy had expired (11hrs ago) I had to apply for a quote again but could only do this online, so I did. The new quote was now £655.60 WOW a massive £271.70 increase. I phone customer service to see if they could help with the cost but was told the system didn’t allow this ‘computer says NO” and I would have to pay £655.60. No where in the renewal email did it state that the quote would expire once the policy ran out and this wa the very next morning but I was told by customer services at Go Girl (‘computer says NO’) that ‘this was obvious’… not to me it wasn’t. I now face paying an extra £271.70 for renewing my policy or starting a new policy 11hrs after it expired…RIP OFF!!! Anyway they did me a HUGE favour as I went to Sheilas wheels and got cover for £257.53, massive £398.07 cheaper for the year. So thanks GOGIRL (‘computer says NO”) for being so UNHELPFUL and so INSULTING during our dealings with each other…NEVER AGAIN. My advice DO NOT USE GO GIRL INSURANCE!

Bought insurance on line. Rang to change the start date 5 minutes after activating and wanted another £169. Start date and expiry date not clear. Cancelled the policy and cost £45. Most expensive policy ever. Works out at £4,665,600 per year.
