“I have now finished construction of my Salisbury Arbour. I was initially concerned because of the poor condition I received the two packages off the delivery vehicle. I know this is possibly not mainly down to the supplier, but a result of poor handling in transit. However, the flimsiness of the packaging did not help. The item was only wrapped in polythene and the contents of the package containing the screws and nails etc. had been torn and the contents floating freely within the package. It was with some concern that I carried out an inventory check, and there were some missing parts which fortunately I was able to replace from my assorted spares. There are times when I curse cardboard packaging, but in this instance perhaps more substantial packaging would have been appropriate. I assembled the whole structure on my own but the instructions do identify this as a 2 person job. The assembly instructions were ok but could be improved upon. For instance, the central rail of the seat and back is supposed to be fitted after the rails have been secured to the two side panels. This means the assembly has to be rolled over to fit the screws or you crawl underneath it. I assembled both sets of slats using the centre rail and then fitted them to the two side panels. The back trellis panel was cracked in one corner (transit damage?), but I managed to install it, hiding the damaged area. I also assembled all the roof parts including the barge boards and finials, and then fitted it as a unit over the assembled base. It was a bit heavy but I loaded from the side, rolling it over the frame and the rafters slotted home perfectly, job done. I would suggest a slightly larger pilot drill for the top four securing screws though, possibly 3mm, as the screws did take some real effort to force home, and a power screwdriver is a must. On the whole am really pleased with the finished structure which is now sitting proudly in my garden, opposite the fish pond.”

“All arrived safely and was straight forward to assemble. Good to include additional screws as so easy to lose if one falls on the ground. Only criticism was the enormous amount of bubble wrap and other plastic packaging, with no indication whether any was recyclable.”

“Very pleased with my Glendale Venice gazebo. Saved at least £50 from the garden centre or Amazon. Quality good my only quibble is that I had no notification regarding the delivery. I was out on the day but fortunately a neighbour has my key and took the gazebo in.”

“I would highly recommend Garden Street. When I received the Sun Canopy I'd ordered, part of it was slightly damaged, which was no fault of Garden Street. I contacted them and they arranged for a replacement part from the manufacturer which I received within 3 days. Very impressed with this level of service.”

“Overall I am pleased with the service from Garden Street. The products arrived promptly and as advertised. I didn't like having to provide my payment details before I knew the shipping cost (and, hence, the total cost of my purchase). That is quite bad, and it would put me off shopping with Garden Street again if I could get the products I need elsewhere.”

“The test of a company is how they deal with issues, everything did not go exactly to plan, however the problem was managed in a professional manner with excellent communication throughout, I can’t recommend them enough, the customer service team were fantastic. I will be using this company again and I am happy to recommend them to anyone.”

“Still waiting for 2nd half of delivery which so far I've been given 3 dates for and not received item. Waiting in for this again today and just looked on tracking service to find out that driver has 6 drops before mine and expected to arrive at 3am!!! Meant to be here between 8-12pm. The service I've experienced from this company is appalling.”

“Order arrived with less than half the screws and a piece of wood missing from one back panel. Wood store was easy enough to put together, but there are no pre drilled holes, so you need drill bits as well as screw drivers.”

“We tried to order 2 sun beds and were informed they were out of stock and would we like them to inform us when more stock arrived. We said we would and received an email saying they were back in stock. We ordered and paid for two. They rang to make sure we did want two and we told them that yes we did. A week later we telephoned to check on delivery and were told the transport company would ring us. A day later we received an email saying there was a problem and no beds would be available this year. I would never never use this company!!!!!!?”

“Our order of a gazebo arrived earlier than expected which is great, luckily we were in to receive it as the delivery co didn't advise on when they were coming. The instructions were difficult to read but following a call to the customer helpline at 4.30 a new set arrived by email by 8am next day. Overall very pleased with our Glendale Venice gazebo and your customer service.”
