“My telephone dealings with Tom at Garden Street was excellent. He was attentive, informative, helpful and very customer friendly. Unfortunately the experience was somewhat spoiled by the delivery company. Despite having provided my mobile telephone number I did not receive any communication from the delivery people as to when a convenient time/date of delivery would be appropriate. Luckily, on the fourth working day from the date of order, a unmarked vehicle turned up and I just happened to be home. Unfortunately only part of my order (i.e. 1 of 2 items) appeared to be on the truck. The driver said that despite him searching his vehicle the second item was not on board & that (quite casually & carelessly) the second item may be found & possibly delivered the next day. The driver expected me to sign the delivery sheet as being fully delivered. I declined to do so until he had endorsed the document as referring to one item delivered only. Having then driven approx 100 yards from my home he reversed to call out to me that he had in fact just discovered the second item in the cab of his vehicle. However he made it very obvious he wasn't going to get out of his drivers seat to bring the item to me but rather gestured that he expected me to collect it from the open passenger side window. Unfortunately, as you can see, this has resulted in a somewhat less than perfect experience in dealing with Garden Street. I would hope that if indeed my experience is repeated by other customers then Garden Street will take appropriate steps with their choice of deliver companies. I haven't yet had the opportunity to install the ordered item but I hope that the future installation goes well & that I am fully satisfied with the operation of the product.”

“The Tripe Wheelie Bin storage unit arrived on time as advised by the couriers. It has now been assembled and I can safely say that it well made of good quality T & G Timber and was complete with all of the fittings. It was easy to assemble by two people, but could be done by one. It has now been painted, to blend in with the surroundings, and looks great. It serves its purpose very well indeed. I am also very pleased with the price.”

“Ordered Lifetime Plastic Storage Box Small on 19 April 2018, delivery time stated at 7-15 working days. Apart from the order confirmation and request for reviews on 26th Apr, 27th Apr and 9th May I was not contacted. On the 10th May I considered the 7-15 working day wait had been reached, so I rang customer services and queried the latest development. I was advised by Email , that the carriers had attempted to contact me on 0208563180, this was indeed a wrong number as it should have been 02088563180. I'm at a loss to understand why the lack of contact was not followed up. The incorrect phone number would have generated the information that it had not been recognised as there was not enough digits. Anyway I corrected the error and added my mobile number, via email and waited to be contacted. Having heard nothing by the 15th May, I rang customer services again and was informed by Email "We have been advised that due to the deliveries being booked for this week and next week you shall be contacted Monday/Tuesday of next week to schedule your delivery." Still having no heard from the courier by Tuesday 22nd May, I emailed customer services. On Wednesday 23rd May I was contacted by the courier and advised the delivery would take place on Thursday 31st May. On Thursday 24th May, customer services responded to my email of 22nd May. On the Evening of Wednesday 30th May the delivery took place, not on Thursday 31st May as I was informed, it was pure luck I was in! My first purchase from you was straightforward and went according to expected timeline. It seems if there are any problems it’s a very different story, and the lack of any proactive contact from you leaves a lot to be desired.”

“The product arrived 2 weeks later than stated, absolutely soaking wet and unusable until it hopefully dries out. It was as if it had been submerged in water (Is this still guaranteed not to rot?). The item was delivered (by Tuffnells ) two streets away from the delivery address and just dumped on the drive without any notification to myself or the incorrect household. My wife and the lady from the wrong address had to struggle to move the item to our house. Very disappointed with the delivery and condition it was received in.”

“I rang up only three or four days ago to ask for some Chelsea favourites. Sadly out of stock but the very helpful and friendly assistant advised me to go on line and register my interest as they will be available shortly. They were and I duly put in an order. So efficient but lovely with it. Thank you.”

“May I offer this advice to buyers. 1. Give your mobile phone number in your order. 2. Don't expect any communication after your order acceptance e-mail from the couriers. 3. The order will arrive when the couriers decide not under the control of Garden Street. 4. Expect the delivery to be at the upper time don't believe it when it states 3-7 days go for 6-8 days. This said my experience with the staff via e-mail was good and they did try to assist, the order was well wrapped and protected from damage and I am pleased with my purchase.”

“Easy to order. Good delivery arrangements (although could have been a little quicker). Very helpful when I needed to resovle some small issues - insuffucient screws/fixings supplied etc. Overall, quality of panels/timber elements good. 'Angle irons' for fixing panels were of disappointing quality - soft-metal and holes drilled in inconsistent fashion (so cannot use same/single one as template for pre-drilling pilot holes. Would not be a problem if all holes were pre-drilled by supplier (preferable!)”
