“These are well made boots, and with a low heel and nice dark blue suede, just what I was looking for. However they were difficult to get on, I really struggled to do up the zips. When I eventually managed to, the boots were just far too tight around the top -around my ankles. It hurt to wear them and I thought they would never be loose enough there to be comfortable on, so I returned them.”

“Excellent quality and colour as you always expect from Gabor but too narrow in the fitting. I'd like to see a wider and more fashionable range in the extra wide fitting..”

“They’re lovely shoes but sadly a bit flat and narrow at the ‘bunion’ point so first time I wore I incurred an enormous blister on my little toe left foot. And right foot almost too roomy!”

“Nice shoes to look at but they were so so uncomfortable, for shoes that cost as much as they do they need to be more comfortable. I ended up sending them back as they were too uncomfortable”

“not sure what's happening with sizing but Gabor size 8 shoes for this as well as the Gabor diary shoes are way too tight and uncomfortable. Gabor has always been about comfort .”

“I have purchased several pairs of Gabor shoes and boots over the years and have been very pleased with them, they have been comfortable, stylish and durable. Unfortunately I haven't had the same luck with the most recent pair I purchased (Jude Ladies' ankle boots, grey suede) - they are hard and uncomfortable with thin lining, and they haven't softened with wear, very disappointed.”

Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear that you are finding the Gabor Jude to be uncomfortable for you. They are a sturdier boot with a thicker sole and the sole may not be as flexible as others Gabor boots you have had. I do hope that in time as you wear them, they do become more comfortable for you. “I bought off line as I went into your Northallerton store and after waiting a long time and asking several staff members to help ( several were in the stock room) I walked out and ordered on line The sandals are very nice but sadly the back strap needs shortening which Timpson says is £17 :-((”

“Absolutely love the Flamboyant Ladies Ankle Boots but extremely disappointed that I have to return them. They are not a wide fit as promised. The wide fit Gabor boots I bought last year were very stylish and properly wide and I wore them every day in the winter. These are not the same width.”

You may find that a half size bigger increases the area within the shoe with very little extra length, many Gabor customers use this method and find it works well. “Good looking shoes but very narrow. Usually I buy 6.5 which is half a size larger which means narrow fit or pointed shoes could fit better. Gabor usually fit me well so I was surprised this was so tight. Will return.”

Thank you for your review and for sharing your findings with regard the fit of this shoe. Many of our customers (including myself) find that by getting a half size bigger, this is only slightly longer, however it increases the area within the shoe and creates a more comfortable fitting. “Ordering was easy. Sending back/exchanging seemed to be not so easy. The package had to be dropped off at a post office and postage to be paid. Amazon as an example gives you a printable return lavel for most companies and a pick up option. I am not close to a post office and had to work out to somehow get there.”

Thank you for your review. We do deliver free of charge on orders over £40, but do ask if customers can cover the cost of return. We have a link on our webiste for Royal Mail at £3.20 for a tracked service, but this is only an option, you can choose any method of returning if it is more convenient to you. “I bought these because I had a beige pair in the same style which are very comfortable and I needed a darker pair I could wear with tights. Unfortunately the navy version is much narrower and the back is not as soft and scraped up my ankle. It’s a lovely shoe but it’s going to take a long while to wear them in”

“Boots were good but the box the boots were in eas based to bits, if these boots were a gift for could not have possibly kept them. They should have been reduced because of the box as they were not presented properly.”

“I brought the willow thinking it would fit almost the same as a similar pair that had the elastic on the under tongue of the shoe they don't fit quite as secure sadly. I will keep them but possibly pop an insole in them to make them tighter.”

“I ordered two pairs of sandals, same style but in two colours. I kept one pair but had to have the two holes stretched as they were too tight. The second pair had wider toe holes but the right sandals had been sewn diffently and to the left and so I had a pair of visibly different sandals. I returned these. Only two words to say - inconsistent quality.”
