“I have other Gabor shoes. Very disappointed with these ankle boots. The website says wide fitting and I also confirmed with the customer service team. As other reviewers have stated they are NOT wide fitting. I had to pay the postage to return which is unusual.”

Thank you for your review. We are sorry that you did not find that these boots were wide enough for you, the reviews are mixed, some saying that they are lovely and roomy and a few people like yourself, who say that they do not seem wide. Your comments will help others when they are browsing. Gabor do a wider fitting which is an H (this boot is a G) or you may find that getting a half size larger, gives you the extra area within the shoe that you need. We do cover the cost of delivery, but ask customers to return unwanted items at their own cost. Kind regards, Janice - customer services

“Great service and the Briano ankle boots are excellent. Perfect fit, don't agree with other reviews which say they are narrow. The toe area is a bit agricultural and it would have been nice to have a bit more shaping, but the look is fine for when I am using the boots.”

Thank you for your email. We do deliver to customers free of charge and also if an exchange is needed, again cover the cost to you. We do ask customers to cover the cost of return postage. You can return to a Charles Clinkard store, if you pop your post code into our site, you will see that there is one not too far away and you have up to 12 months to return an unworn item for full refund. There is also a link on our website where for £4.49 you produce a label where you can return up to 10 kilo. I do hope that this helps for future reference. Kind regards, Janice - customer services

“I bought my first pair of zipped trainers last year and as a size 3, often shoes are too narrow. These are so comfortable and I can walk in them for hours. Consequently, I have bought two more pairs. The most recent are the black patent platform version which look casual/smart so you can be smart and comfortable. The zips make them so easy to get on and off so no fiddling with laces. They are expensive, but I know I'll wear them to death and they'll stay in good condition. In my opinion, worth every penny. Excellent customer service too.”
