“I have not bought any Gabor shoes before, and after reading about how their shoes are comfortable, I bought Lulea Women's Casual Trainers - I found them to be too busy with all the laces and the zips on either side, so returned them. I prefer my trainers to be plain, but comfortable and supportive in the arch and under foot, but not having kept these I can't give any useful information in this review about these essential issues. The look of the shoe is perhaps better for younger people, not elderly folk like me. They were far too bulky. The photos on the website looked better than the actual pair.”

“For all these are stylish and comfortable I noticed that the usual quality of Gabor just doesnt seem to be there. I've purchased other boots, one which is still on sale and the quality is good. The suede and the inner finish isnt as good as I would have liked. Unfortunately one of the boots looked a little worn at the toe. I'm thinking it might have been on display in a shop. I did get these on sale.”

“Love Gabor shoes but unfortunately these were meant to be comfort fit but felt tied. Weirdly, the actual size was enormous. They were described as mid calf but they were more like a high ankle boot. Disappointed. Returned.”

“At last I found an ankle boots that fitted my slim ankles perfectly but not as wide as I normally wear. I wear DD width. I wish Gabor makes them an inch wider for those who suffer from bunions. The leather is nice and hopefully they will stretch. I have decided to keep them as I have difficulty finding an slim ankle boots and one with a decent low heels that I can wear casually with jeans or dress up with dresses and skirts.”

“Definitely too small. I take a 9/43 and your two pairs I ordered were 9s but noway that size. I have previously purchased Gabor and they actually are a bit big - consistency would be good.”

“i bought ankle boots, in exactly the same size as some shoes i bought earlier this year. However, although potentially the size 6 1/2 fitted, it was extremely difficult to get my foot into the boot - the zip should probably have been longer. i dont have wide feet or ankles. i returned them.”

“What lovely boots, but they are very slim fitting. I would buy slim fitting boot normally and don't have any problems in zipping them up, but it is a struggle to close the zip on the calf on these boots. I would say that the fit on calf area of these boots is extra small.”

“The boots were beautiful, but you've really got to take the "skinny" seriously... Boots often look gappy on me (I measure 36cm around the widest part of my calf when standing up) so I thought skinny would be great, but I could only just do them up!! For £170 I wasn't prepared to go round with squashed legs, however nice looking the boots, so sent them back. Unfortunately the "medium" size is out of stock...”

We would suggest in the future trying the boots around the house with socks etc to check for fit and then if they are unsuitable you can then return these to us. “I received my Gabor shoes that I had ordered in a larger size than usual - in six and a half, as you don’t do the wider fit - I was very disappointed that the still didn’t fit so had to be returned. They were beautiful shoes so again very disappointed - I was told that Lady Gabor used to do wider but couldn’t find them ! CN”

“I purchased 2 pairs of the same shoes in different sizes. 4.5 and 5 I chose the size 5 and are delighted with the shoes however i was very disappointed to have to pay over £8 to return the smaller pair”

“The service was prompt. It was a pity that the Gabor boots were a tight fit , I usually fit most size 5 boots and shoes so was most disappointed as they were just what I wanted. I do not feel that I can order a ? larger size as the postage has to be paid by me for each return.”

“Gabor Shoes are always great quality and must importantly a good fit. But sadly if you order shoes online and they are not suitable there isn’t a pre-paid return label. I ordered three pairs of boots but needed to send them back. The cost to return them was £19 because I needed to insure them for £300. This was the cheapest courier service I could find. So I won’t be ordering from your website again.”

“Unfortunately these gorgeous boots are not wide enough, despite being advertised as a wide fit so I will be returning them ☹. FYI I fit comfortably into a Clarks wide fit. I did measure my feet and checked against Gabor dimensions but they are quite a lot too narrow. Shame as they are just what I wanted”
