“The service was very good, I didn't have to wait too long for the mechanic to arrive and he was very helpful and courteous. The job took about 45 minutes and the car worked perfectly afterwards. However, I do think the charge was excessive given the job took 45 minutes, there was an initial charge of £75 which I assume was your fee for directing the mechanic to the job and then a further £269, including £20 for new fuel payable on completion. I appreciate that the mechanic is probably self employed and has the cost of running his van and other business expenses like insurances, but charging over £200 for 45 minutes work appears excessive in relation to other professions. I have terminal cancer and am disabled, have a blue badge, am unable to work and rely on benefits to live and would be house bound without my car.The near £400 cost of my mistake is disasterous and the trade off is that I've had to turn my heating off to afford the cost. You might want to consider offering a vulnerable person register and discount scheme for people in my healh position.This would be a very good marketing ploy and differentiate your service from competitors. When you have health issues like me, concentration can be a big issue and it's easy to make silly mistakes.It would really help if you had a scheme that offered some discount for vulnerable people.Hope this helps!”

“Overall it was a good, efficient service, in particular the hands on servcie from the mechanic Adam. He was brilliant. However I don't believe I was told the final amount at the time of my enquiry. I may have been told that fuel and VAT would be added but not one sctually said it will cosy you in total £396. I heard £310 which was the price before this was added. I also didn't ask but it is a horrible situation, you are worried about the damage to your car and the cost. But I believe you need to hear a total amount. In trying to decide £310 was close to the amount quoted by the RAC of £249 so I thought that's not too much difference and you could do it 4 hours sooner! In fact your proce was almost £150 more. I see many reviews mention this!”

“The driver got lost twice finding the location and went to Hitchin Garden Centre, rather than Vanstone Park Garden Centre Hitchin Road Codicote. Once arrived, he did an excellent job, only to find the fuel pump was the problem, not faulty fuel!”
