“Terry the engineer who came out was fantastic, bright, cheerful, polite, informative, quick and efficient, couldn’t have wished for a nicer guy.i think the fellow on the end of the phone I spoke with when I first rang although again very polite and efficient was probably slightly inventive on ETAs. A more realistic or truthful time of arrival would’ve helped me relax and rebook a later ferry and other commitments straightaway instead of worrying for an hour whether I was going to make it or not, but Terry certainly made up for it in the end.”

“The service engineer, Bela, was timely , clear in his explanation and caring. I was surprised by the price and process having since discovered my own insurance would have saved me a lot of money. You need to mention this on the initial call”

“Did a good job only issue was paid for £40 of diesel on the bill but didn't get it”

Thank you for your feedback. Glad to hear that we did a good job! On the fuel, the job sheet here does show £40 was used. We do use some of that to flush through the system, removing traces of contamination, and the rest is put into the tank for your use. Of course, when we do a fuel drain, we empty the tank completely, whereas when your gauge is showing your tank as "empty" there is usually 5-10 litres of fuel left in it. So our starting point is lower than you would be used to, meaning that the amount of fuel we put in would not register as high on the gauge as you would be expecting. “Good service, got to me within an hour and fixed the problem, would of been a 5 star but when the fuel fixer arrived I was called by the office to say they misheard my problem on the phone and it would be an extra £30, although they agreed not to charge the extra when I disputed it, I would say they are expensive but they arrive fast and get you back on the road.”

“The service was fast and had me back on the road in no time. Guy didnt seem to know anyhing about my vehcile though and couldnt find the air filter, so we had to help find it but, his company clearly ahdnt sent him anything to help with this. He left marks on my motorbiek seat whcih i havent yet been able to get off with anything. However, he was fast, very very polite, very professinal and super helpful. I told him i was stupid and he assured me i was not and that it happens everyday to many, so made me feel better. It is a great company though expesnive. Chargedf me £300 to come and take £15 out of my tank of wrong fuel to then replace with the correct fuel. But it saved my engine dying so. Might be cheaper to ring your insurance breakdown first.”

“I called Fuel Fixer when I stupidly filled my tank with diesel instead of petrol. As a result my car would not start. Service was a little late but the operative was friendly, helpful and clearly very experienced. I have been very satisfied with the result - no problems with the car since. I have never been in this situation before and so did not know what it was likely to cost to fix. I was initially quoted a price of well over £400 but haggled and eventually settled for £260. I’m left with the feeling that if I’d haggled longer the price might have come down even more.”

“The guys were very professional and knew exactly what to do and gave lots of useful advice. However I thought the sales advice line were a little heavy handed and doom laden and almost put me off proceeding, but my overall impression was of an efficient organisation. Not the cheapest, but quite thorough.”

“Pleasant guy Andy (originally from Hungry) attended our unfortunate incident of putting petrol in a diesel engine at Berwick, within 40 minutes he had managed to drain the fuel tank and refuel it with correct diesel. Although the cost of this operation was £290.00, we were appreciative of his expertise and ultimately relieving us from our predicament.”

“Wonderful service from a brilliant man who rescued us. He was polite, good conversation and did the job perfectly. He had to travel around a lot and after leaving us he had a considerable distance to travel. I was already upset that insurance does not cover this and had no regard for the fact my passenger had recently come out if hospital. Then the cost is £450 ..thereabouts without looking.. Its a lot of money for an hours work plus deisel. I get £230 per week pension and no help with council tax or bills and my car is 20 years old this year. I think people should not be taken advantage of.”
