Well it seems to be a ‘hit or miss’ affair with the Friars Rum Truffles. From the same packet you can get a smooth creamy rum flavoured truffle and then the next one is dry, hard and lacking in rum flavour. Not sure why this is so but very disappointing.

Hi product was good but slightly bashed around as packaging was not adequate. It was just in a box with no padding inside

I was disappointed in the chocolates. I bought the Tipsy Collection and although the chocolates were good, I couldn't taste any alcohol in them except the whisky and rum ones, and then only faintly. In fact, so absent was the taste of alcohol in general, I looked at the menu to make sure I hadn't misunderstood that the all the chocolates contained alcohol.

Has been my go to for chocolates at Christmas for past couple years but alas this year I had trouble finding what I wanted. The range seems to have changed with lots of novelty chocolates and loads of truffles which are not my favourite.

Unfortunately the wooden box for the chocolates was damaged upon arrival - I doubt it was Friars fault and more likely the delivery company. I bought the ginger chocolates - absolutely amazing! Very hot from the ginger, perfect for a cold winters day. Shame there weren't more in a packet.

I paid for next day, but it didn't arrive until a few days later, so past the event. It was Royal Mail rather than courier, perhaps Next Day orders shouldn't rely on the Royal Mail.

The chocolate tasted fine and I don’t think you can tell it’s vegan. They contain palm oil and the quality of ingredients isn’t great, so I wouldn’t buy again.

My recent rose and violet creams purchase I made were not up to the expected quality. The line of chocolates on one side of the box were discoloured, (white) which made the recipient think they were maybe old stock.

I would give 5 stars for the fantastic chocolates in the Signature deluxe collection but I have only given 3 stars overall because the contents were all loose when my wife opened the box.The Kir Royal was squashed and several others were oot of place.They are not packed firmly enough and no doubt are chucked around during delivery. Friars need to have a serious look at this especially with the larger boxes.Perhaps a smaller tiered box would be more stable. It’s a shame because when you pay nearly £50 including postage you expect everything to be perfect.

The violet and rose creams were the best I have tasted. They were delicious. Perfect. However the packaging was damaged and the chocolates were loose in the box. I could hear them rolling about. Probably happened in transit. Disappointing as this was a gift and I had to replace each chocolate individually and reseal the box. Hence the 3-star review. Fortunately the chocolates themselves were intact.

Coffee cream chocolates superb, good flavour and plenty of filling. Unfortunately they came in a plastic tray in a poly bag. Surely luxury chocolates deserve a decent box?

Picture on website very misleading. I did not expect large eggs but was very disappointed in their actual size .Perhaps you could make it clearer in your advertising of the product .

I been waiting a week for my first order when it came broken bottles, I immediately phoned up to complain they sent me out replacement order over a week ago, it's still not arrived. A very poor company I certainly buy from again

I bought a selection of chocolates and whilst some, like the coconut pieces were great, good taste, value for money, some others were really not very nice. The rum truffles didn't taste of Rum and the dark chocolate was really too bitter and I love dark chocolate. Definately a mixed bag!

The chocolates were for my mums 92nd birthday. Being diabetic I was trying to find chocolates that were low in sugar. The chocolates arrived on time and the box looked good. I was a bit disappointed when my mum opened the box. The chocolates were a bit shaken up. The reason is that despite there being a number of different shaped chocolates, the plastic tray shapes were all the same with no attempt at matching the shape of the chocolates. The result being that the contents weren’t held in place and just sat roughly in the area provided. I also felt that the chocolates were very ordinary considering they are very expensive in my opinion…roughly £1.08 per chocolate plus delivery. I don’t think I will be buying again.
