“Fabulous customer service! My initial order was out of stock, they suggested something else. When I phoned they were so helpful, they refunded my next day delivery charge and went the extra mile to make sure I received it on time. They even phoned after delivery to check it had arrived on time and I was happy with it. Can’t fault them ..would definitely recommend!”

“I bought 2 sets of copper and brass watering cans and spray, and a trug. The watering cans are really lovely, if smaller than I imagined. The trug is comfortingly robust and looks as if it will last for years. I also bought a selection of French garden knives which look too good to be used in a muddy garden - should be on display. Am happy with my purchases”

“I bought this as a gift for my son and I had it engraved with his name. Someone put a hole in the cellophane wrap to take the oyster shucker out to engrave it and then stuck it back in. It looked tacky with the packaging opened. I also was surprised that it was wrapped in cellophane. I was expecting it to be in its own box and not wrapped with plastic. The pieces themselves seemed very cheaply made. I gave him the gift anyway and we will see how long it lasts and if it is very useful. It seems like it will break if it's used to shuck an oyster or break the claws of a lobster. It was very disappointing.”

Hi Laura, thanks for your review - we've sold these oyster knives for many years with excellent reviews, if you find that yours does not stand up to the job you've purchased it for, do contact us. We offer engraving as an additional extra as a personalised gift is always well received, unfortunately we do need to open the cellophane to access the tool, however it should always be put back together as discretely as possible so as not to distract from the delight of the gift overall. If yours was not correctly packaged back I apologise for the oversight on this occasion. Despite this I hope your recipient enjoys the gift. Best wishes, Jude

“I ordered two Dartington whisky glasses and requested they be inscribed etc. The Dartington glass was the usual excellent quality, as ever. The inscription was somewhat disappointing due largely, I suspect to my lack of understanding of fonts and the resulting font sizes. I daresay my conception of the fonts was flawed and this resulted in somewhat faint lettering. Ah well my fault as usual! But the quality of both the items and the service was as excellent, as ever!”
