“My order of a black leather A4 zipped folio arrived promptly and looks as described - I'm sure my son will be delighted with it. However, the personalised naming on the bottom right of the file is not embossed deeply enough, so not very clear at all. Also, the tissue wrapping of the file did not cover it and was crumpled - not packed with care inside the box... this may seem a small point but it gave a disappointing first impression when opened, and clashed with the classy branding and goods Farrar & Tanner portray. I will rewrap before gifting!”

Hi Sarah, Thank you for your review - I appreciate your comments and will check with our warehouse to make sure that this does not happen again, the presentation really does make a difference to the gift so I am disappointed that more care wasn't taken. “The product that I ordered all can scratched and poorly finished. Upon contacting the CX I received a very friendly response but after explaining the details never heard back in 5 days. The flask also came in a box different to the one in the picture. Since it was a gift for someones birthday, whilst waiting for a response from the customer services it became too late to order a different gift from elsewhere and I ended up gifting the scratched flask hence will make sure to never order from here”

Hi David, thank you for your review, I am sorry for the delay in communication - we had sent a new flask out to you on a next day service but we were slow in responding to your reply as we were unexpectedly short staffed. With the original flask, the scratches are often part of the manufacturing of the pewter and usually polish out, however this should have been checked for quality before leaving and polished out by the factory. It looks like perhaps this was missed and I apologise for this. I hope you were able to gift the new flask to your recipient when you received our replacement. Best wishes, Jude

“On looking for a knife block/knife set, came across this one at Farrar & Tanner which looked fabulous. Glad to say it was just so when we received it. Not used yet as it's a Christmas present, but obviously checked for any faults and glad to say there were none. Very pleased with it and am sure it will make a lovely present.”
