Lamb cutlets, mince and fillet steak excellent. Streaky bacon much too salty. Beef wellington, mushroom duxelles very tangy, fillet steak not as good as separate pieces.

Normally love Farmison as they supply excellent quality which is well packaged and delivered quickly. This time, however, the mutton loin was unacceptable. I cooked it to the recipe on line and used a meat probe, but the meat was tough and the fat did not render down, it became hard and inedible. The ribeye was excellent and cooked very well and tasted as it should have done. Sorry Farmison you let me down here.

Ordered haunch of venison Venison stew Cooked the haunch today, very nice but was disappointed as expected a stronger taste. Used the recipe recommended, very nice.

lamb sausage was horrible couldn't taste the lamb for the nasty overkill ingredients we have had better from elsewhere

started off ok but then had a couple of bad packs of bacon. I know that these things happen from time to time but unfortunately, the customer support was quite terrible. Moved to another supplier.

Had first order last well. Well packed and delivered on time. Tried the rib eye and fillet steaks first. Really delicious full of flavour and very tender. Unfortunately the Boston Butt was not good. Followed recipe to the letter and meat was dry and chewy. Very disappointed having paid over £30!

This was my first order I was pleased with the speed of delivery. As yet I have not had chance to try most of the products but they do look good so no concerns there. My only concern was the state the order was in when delivered. The package containing the Lorne sausage had burst open and the slices were loose inside the main packaging.

Expensive and nothing like the pictures on the website. I Basically bought a slab of fat and bone. Customer services and their master butcher assure me that this is normal and that they “champion fat” Maybe they should change the advertising on the website to show what they actually sell. Aside from the delivery service, very disappointed! Unless I get a refund or an actual steak from them I won’t bother again.

Terrible website. Now it’s refusing to accept my postcode. God knows why. I’d buy more but it’s such a hassle. Just given up on my latest attempt to place an order.

Great service but the sirloin did not live up to the hype. The joint was small in cross section indicating that it had come from a young animal. However, there was an excessive covering of fat which I’ve not seen in young Aberdeen Angus, and I’ve raised more than a few over the years. And, as a scientist, I fully understand the importance of fat for flavour. It left me wondering if the beast had been intensively fattened on grain. The meat was outstandingly tender - perhaps the best I’ve ever had. But the flavour was modest at best and nowhere near what good AA should taste like.

Lamb and chicken were alright, unfortunately after a delay re spices I was sent out of date stock which was infuriating as chicken and spice delayed as needs a new batch. So why was I sent out if date spices?

The meat looks very nice; I haven't cooked it yet. It was disappointing that my order wasn't complete; I had to telephone regarding the omission. The missing items have yet to arrive.

Portion size isn't big enough for 2 and if I'm brutally honest I don't think they taste great. The massala tasted like it was out of a jar and the meatballs were OK. I've cancelled my subscription because I didn't think they were good. I love the meat from thus website but the meals are not up to scratch

I am sorry to say that when I opened up the boeuf en croute package (I had ordered 3), two of them had leaked blood and made the pastry soggy. I had put them straight into the fridge as soon as received and used them the following day. I also think there should have been instructions for the cooking - i.e. temperature and timing for rare, medium and well done. Unfortunately, although my guests were very kind in their remarks, my beef was tough but this could be put down to my cooking! Sorry!

Well packed and delivered on time. Didn’t enjoy the Chilli Beef ready meal - basically tasted like any ready meal and very little beef to sauce. Beef (Chateaubriand) ok but had better from Waitrose.

Bought a bank holiday package. Bit of a mixed bag. Chilli, keema pies and bacon were good, burgers ok , lemon chicken was far too salty and the chicken sausages not very nice at all. Would be helpful if cooking instructions came in the box rather than having to faff about looking on line
