Ordered meat for Christmas. It came in a vacuum sealed bag and had obviously been frozen or near frozen as it had defrosted or the storage process created / generated a lot of water as a by product and by the time I received the meat it was sitting in a lot of water in the bag (meat was swimming in the deep end) so when removed it from the bag it was very wet. Not seen anything like this before before when I was expecting meat how it’s presented from a butcher or supermarket.

Bitterly disappointed. Wrote to complain, but they didn't bother getting back. Tiny 'centre piece' gammon joint, (pictured). It tasted funny, but the dog enjoyed it. The turkey was so awful, I've frozen it to try and make casseroles later in the year, as I don't like wasting food, but it really was terrible. I won't be shopping with Farmisons ever again.

Our Christmas order go delivered to an address other than ours. After 3 days of disjointed comms I was promised a refund… which is now around 2 weeks late. Long story short, a poor Tesco frozen Turkey is all I could find on Christmas Eve!

Didnt compensate me or actually read my emails when DPD left my meat outside my house all night for which I never recieved.

All previous orders have been on time and excellent quality. This Christmas delivery was neither - the box was delivered the following day (Christmas Eve after all other supply options were closed) and did not contain the correct sized beef joint or the ham. No information on packaging suggested contents would be fine to consume after the specified delivery date - it said "Must be delivered..." so we were unable to assess risk and therefore could not use what was delivered. Recommend but not for Christmas.

My husband and I have never ordered in a Xmas meal before, but as this offer was specifically for two, and as I hadn't been well, we thought we'd give you a try. Big mistake. The cooking instructions were inadequate. The turkey itself was dry and dull, as was the stuffing. Which brings me to the gravy: " a sauce must elevate and enrich your centrepiece". Our gravy was pale beige, had no flavour, and so was inedible. The cranberry sauce was tasty, and the pigs-in-blankets and roast potatoes were good; the sausages we put in the freezer. Altogether a great disappointment.

I ordered a 7kg FRESH turkey (as advertised) and received a FROZEN one. Their excuse is it's not "frozen" it is "deep chilled". Other producers had the good grace not to deceive their customer by letting you know that the bird was not "fresh". Farmison however have intentionally misrepresented the product in the hope that we won't notice. I know that bird-flu has affected production, but there's no need to be untruthful to customers. I am pursuing a partial refund and will not use them again. I suspect I'll have to resort to the SCC for resolution given the arrogant responses I've had so far.

Here at  Farmison, all our Meat is cut and prepared fresh to order in our Butchery here, it is then picked and packed by hand in our Dispatch Department to be sent out to our customers fresh. This happened the day before a delivery is due to be with our customer. This means we are working with live stock levels, so, if there are any stocking issues on a certain dispatch day, this can often be communicated to us later in the day after all of our Supplier deliveries have been made and in many cases such as with yours last week. We do hate letting our customers down and here at  Farmison, we are constantly working on ways to improve our customer experience, so that we are offering the very best service possible to all our wonderful customers, so we understand that last-minute stocking issues are not ideal. We are very sorry once again to have let you down on this occasion.

I ordered beef short ribs. The photograph showed the meat as single portions which was what I wanted. I ordered the recommended amount for 4 people. However when it arrived, there were just two massive slabs of meat. I called and asked why this was and what I was supposed to do. I was told to use a butchers knife and cut them up. I haven’t got a butchers knife so tried with my carving knife to cut through the bones. It resulted in a mess and ruined my knife and the meat, spoiling the dinner party. Why show the meat cut into single portions and then deliver it requiring further butchery??? Very disappointing and won’t be repeating.

We ordered meat more than a week in advance for a party, only to be told on the afternoon before the day that Farmison “hadn’t received enough meat to deliver”. When asked why I wasn’t informed earlier, I was told by their customer service on the phone that they only ever find out a day before any delivery if they have received enough for their orders. I spent half a day scrambling around for a replacement and decided that this level of service does not work for me.

Ordered two beef wellington party boxes for NYE. At the last minute farmison changed our order sending 8 individual beef wellingtons and substituting the side we have wanted. The beef wellingtons were poor, we paid nearly £200, didn’t get what we wanted and didn’t like what they sent. Won’t be closing Farmison again.

The dates on the food that arrived were unacceptable. I don't want to have to freeze and defrost everything. The steaks needed to be used on the day they arrived, the sausages had 2 days and the bacon had less than a week. Its not good enough. I feel like I was sent the s**t that was about to turn.

I have used Farmison & Co many times over the last few years and I’m shocked and appalled at the order we received for Christmas. The meat was a health and safety concern and was not a cheap cut. Still have not heard back from Farmison & Co about this, my email has been ignored. To put it simply the Christmas dinner ruined by stale meat.

I would like to write a review but as my order, ordered in October for Christmas delivery was not delivered I can't. DPD despite repeated calls from your office and promises to deliver failed to deliver, so my turkey breast, Beef fore rib and my fillet steak along with bread sauce, 3 sauces and Yorkshire pudding batter all failed to appear. I actually had a tin of chicken for my Christmas Dinner!! Not your fault as your meat is always excellent but DPD are useless.

Our order was delivered 23 hours later than the designated time slot by DPD. The advisor Lottie at Farmison was helpful but when I noted down in an automated request that I was not satisfied with the Farmison response generally, no notice was taken of this. The pork joint we ordered for Christmas did not meet my expectations. We'd had a previous order and the pork chops had been delicious.

Really disappointed - order our Christmas turkey, a 2kg breast to arrive on Christmas Eve. Received a smaller cut (1.3kg) on the day and an email shortly after to say it was smaller than expected and I could have a £15 voucher for future use. This is terrible service - far too late to get any turkey so ended up Christmas Eve shopping for pork to offer as an option for our guests. Farmisons will have known about this before hand but chose to only let us know on the day of delivery. The offer of a £15 voucher is terrible compensation for the rushed christmas eve we had and we don't intend to use their services again
