Dispatch was slow - but packaged well. However out of the 40 bulbs I ordered - not one flowered or even sprouted - they were placed in different areas of the garden- big shame as all other plants thrived in the garden. I am normally very happy with the bulbs that I received in the past but on this occasion the bare root plants that I received were extremely small for the price. I have planted them in the hope that they will grow by the summer.

Hello, We're sorry to hear that you are disappointed with your bare root plants. Some varieties grow from bigger root systems than others, please send a photo of any plants which concern you to customercare@farmergracy.com and we'll be happy to check whether they are ok or need to be replaced. The Dahlia roots I received were of extremely poor quality. The other plants were marginally better but not as good as I had hoped for. The art work and packaging cannot be praised enough, but I hesitate to order any more plants.

On my previous order number FG983272 dated 17/11/22 I ordered 10 off Purple Hyacinths named Woodstock. 5 of the 10 ordered were planted in pots by myself, the other 5 are in my garden yet to flower. The flowers in the potted ones have all rotted away causing great disappointment as they were Christmas gifts. Please send me some sort of compensation for these. Thank You, P. J. Webb.

Hello, Hyacinths normally perform very well outdoors, but ours are not prepared for indoor growing and planting them indoors without pre-chilling for around 12 weeks first will cause them to fail to bloom. If this is what has happened, you can still plant the bulbs outdoors at this stage and they should grow back normally in the garden next year. If you have any further queries, please contact customercare@farmergracy.com and we'll be happy to help. All the best, Farmer Gracy Customer Care

I have recently planted spring bulbs which arrived late last year. I found that approximately sixty percent of the bulbs were soft and muchy. Very disappointed and will not be ordering bulbs from you in the future

Took far too long to arrive. By the time they came the ground was frozen solid and they could not be planted. Here in Scotland the ground will probably not thaw until the spring.

Hello, Deliveries are currently around 10 business days and when ordering later in the season there is a chance that soil will be frozen when your bulbs arrive. If that's the case, it is best to choose a day or afternoon when the soil is thawed to plant your bulbs into borders, or they can be planted anytime up until late December in pots with compost. Very disappointed with delivery timings. Half my order has still not arrived almost three and a bit weeks after I ordered it. Would think twice about ordering from Farmer Gracy again unfortunately.

Bulbs did not arrive. Happy to resend order but some bulbs out of stock so replacements had to be found. By this time the sale was on and I would have been as well buying in sale. Farmer Gracy were unwilling to compensate for the sale price. Also we’re quite impatient while I was trying to find alternatives. Sorry I am not in the habit of giving a review but I do feel I was given a bad deal. I doubt if you will post this review.

I ordered what was supposed to be an xxl yellow crown peony. And get very skinny (1/4th of the advertised size). After complaining, I received another root which was even smaller than the first one. I have been told then that peony comes in all shapes and size and that the number eyes that matters. The first one has 3 eyes and the 2nd one had 5. For sure, even 5 doesn’t qualify for an xxl root. Disappointed and by the product and by the aftersales

I purchased 90 fritillary bulbs. Upon arrival, around 25% were rotting with blue mould, another 25% were shriveled and no use. The quality was terrible. On the plus side I did contact customer services who quickly sent out a replacement pack without quibbling. These were much better (though they still had about 5% with heavy blue mould.)

Having dealt with Thompson&Morgan, UCS, You Garden, and Gardening Direct during the past year I have to relate Farmer Gracy has the longest delivery times. Also their couriers, during their tracking process, do not always identify the product being delivered and in some cases do not identify the sender.

A lot smaller than the one imaged. Yes it has the required number of eyes, but a smaller base, just a bit larger than the size of my fist…. Not a football size like the one imaged.

I ordered 60 narcissus bulbs (Bridal crown and Acropolis). 14 bulbs came moldy, mushy or hollow. Very annoying.

Over the years I have bought bulbs from them, I always forget that every time I come away feeling a little shortchanged but then after a couple of years when I see a new variety I buy from them again, but despite my excitement when I receive the box, after I open it, there is always a sense of having been let down. The ranunculus corms, were all the smallest corm size you can get for ranunculus, and they never truly give you the number you wanted because 2-3 out of the 10 corms will always be tiny, damaged and not usable. Even sellers on Ebay I buy from, say if you buy 10 corms will give you 12 even if they are smaller ones. I also bought Globemaster alliums, of the 5 which were all supposed to be 22+size, I had a 17cm, 19cm, 20cm, 20.5 cm and a 23 cm, the 23 cm and the 19 cm ones had rot, the 23 cm had extensive rot at the top to the tip of the bulb and the other had basal plate rot. They arrived covered in old brown soil, which I guess hid the rot. I generally peel allium and tulip bulbs before I plant them to check them. Sigh, I don't seem to learn my lesson about this seller. Always disappointing. My first order was in early Oct 2022, the delivery itself took 10 days from order date. I'm so sad now that I bought 80 ranunculus corms from them and the other 2 orders will be arriving soon, nothing to look forward to.

Hello, We're sorry to hear that you are disappointed with your bulbs. Naturally, they are all different sizes but normally all are of a flowering size and will give a good display. Please note that Italian Ranunculus bulbs are much smaller than standard ranunculus bulbs. If any of the bulbs have areas of rot, please send photos to customercare@farmergracy.com who will arrange replacements for you. All the best, Farmer Gracy Customer Care
