The majority of the time the bulbs and bare root perennials are of excellent quality but this year a few of the bare roots I have purchased have not been to the same standard and I have had several failures. This could be caused by the extremely dry conditions this year but I think I will stick to bulbs in future The only other issue is the gap sometimes between the notification of despatch from yourselves and arrival with the courier as this can be a long time

My recent order was not as acceptable as previous orders. Two of the three Eremurus Cleopatra were in my option not up to usual standard and could not be planted in the correct way. The other items in the order were of a good standard.

Although I've starred these bulbs "acceptable" sadly several of the bulbs were completely rotten. It also took a long time between ordering and delivery.

What? A review already? You only delivered the bulbs a week ago. I'll get 'em in the ground this weekend, weather permitting. Why not request a review in the Spring when they've flowered? I mean, the bulbs kind of look OK. They're nicely packed. They're mostly sort of brown colour. Good condition as far as I can tell. And look quite cosy in the box. But as for a review... is it possible to review bulbs before they've flowered? I'm hoping they'll look super in the Spring. I'll let you know.

Was disappointed in the delivery ‘problems’. The bulbs look fine and I shall enjoy seeing them all in flower. Love your paperwork - very pretty.

3 of the crocismia l ordered have come through None of the fresias have appeared. I planted both ginger plants and they have done nothing although they have not rotted. I'm unsure what to do with them over winter. Would value your comments Joan Wiljs

planted my eremurus as per instructions.... nothing came up. I have had other plants from farmer Gracy and they have been top class.

The bulb delivery was good, sadly only 3 of 6 have sprouted! Rather expensive…

Ordered a couple of times from Farmer Gracy. Expect to wait a while for delivery - Even when items are in stock they take around 3 weeks to arrive to the UK. I've received a couple of disappointing items. Dahlia, iris and begonia tubers that were soft, and not surprisingly, they didn't grow after planting (The dahlia 'Kelsey Annie Joy' only had 2 tiny tubers which were barely attached to the stem and these also didn't grow. I have had some good things from them, but it's been hit and miss so far.

My ranunculus corms were delivered in March as promised. I planted them as instructed and out of my 30 corms only 17 have grown. The ones that have grown are nice strong plants but I am a little disappointed with the result and will wait to buy the plants next year.

Good quality corms and all successfully sprouted and are currently giving me beautiful flowers. Only issue is I ordered Anemone Galilee Pastel Mix and every single flower has been a bicolour white with blue centre flower (from 30 plants) Beautiful and good quality, but not what I ordered.

I have just given acceptable as one of the plants (Kniphofia Grandiflora) was in 3 pieces. I have potted up all 3 pieces but don't know if it will be successful. Time will tell. The others were OK.

Growth was very pale green and quite long on the alliums - was hard to know what was best to do as instructions didn't cover managing growth like this

Hello, Some bare root perennials will arrive with shoots, which will appear pale as they have not been exposed to daylight. The top of the root system should be planted 2-3cm below the soil surface, which means the shoots (if they are long enough) will be partially exposed after planting. The garden bulbs I have purchased have always been absolutely top quality and the packaging wonderful including the postcards and invoice etc, all spot on! However: ordered bare rooted plants which I struggled to find amongst the bit of compost the were in, planted up the incy wincy bit of root, and nothing, not even a shoot! Disappointed ☹️

I have not yet seen the results of the bulbs as they just been planted. I hope they come out as promised. Down side is the delivery. Both my deliveries were not acceptable. Parcel were thrown over 7 feet gate on to concrete payment.

I was pleased with the Plumeria but the packaging was poor, the box was so torn that the delivery driver thought it was empty!

Sometimes good sometimes not so much. Some beautiful and unusual plants available but being bare rooted means you have to pot on, which means the plants aren’t going to show this year. My experience is that at least one plant will arrive in poor condition and not make it at all.

A very mixed experience. Hardy bulbs such as Species Tulips are great: there is a really good selection, they are reasonably priced and they always arrive in great condition and grow well. The more tropical, exotic bulbs, corms and rhizomes are a rather different matter - for instance, I've bought Tacca chantrieri (Bat flower) now on 3 different occasions (I'm determined to grow this and FG seems to be the only supplier) but on each occasion, the root - which never had a growing 'eye' or sprout, has just rotted. Similarly, 2 Amorphophallus bulbifer bulbs seemed damaged and mouldy on arrival and just rotted as well.
