Explorer Travel Insurance has been trading since 2011 and specialises in great value Single Trip, Annual Multi Trip, Winter Sports, Cruise and Backpacker travel insurance.

Buy direct and choose from up to 5 levels of cover with the added peace of mind that all policies are underwritten by Allianz (the world's largest insurer) and include gadget and cruise cover as standard.

We are based in Westcliff on Sea, Essex and are very proud of the excellent levels of service we provide to our customers both online and by our friendly and professional sales advisors. We don't have a maximum age limit for single trip policies and can offer cover for customers with, or without, pre-existing medical conditions.

“Explorer Travel Insurance was mentioned some years ago in The Daily Telegraph Travel section in response to a reader requesting an insurer who would cover pre existing medical conditions. My husband and I were planning a holiday to America and we wanted reassurance that we would be comprehensively covered given the high medical costs in America. My husband had previously experienced a heart attack and also had other medical conditions. We found the online medical questionnaire very easy to complete and the premium is very reasonable. As a consequence, we have used Explorer for all our subsequent holidays.”

“Have taken out Explorer Travel Insurance many times. However, very fortunately, have not needed to 'use' it. Therefore I cannot give star rating.”

“I was really please with explorer travel insurance , i have had travel insurance with my bank for several year but now i am 70 i had to organize my own , I did Europe 1 trip but next year i shall look to do yearly worldwide for myself and my wife.”

“I purchased an annual policy and spoke to a very helpful consultant who was able to provide cover that was more comprehensive than that offered by our previous travel insurer. based on this experience I would certainly recommend the company to friends.”

“We have used Explorer on numerous occasions.We have recommended you to many of our friends etc in Guiseley.You are accessable,efficient and reasonably priced.Used on tablet or telephone.Make allowances for older people who take medication but are still quite fit.”

“It was very easy to obtain travel insurance through Explorer's On-Line facility and the cost was very reasonable too. I have not needed to make any claim as yet so I cannot comment on how good they are at processing claims.”
