I received a damaged item and as I did not report in 48 hours was told could not have a refund. Item received on 6th January contacted company 12th with the weekend in between! Surely this does not meet with consumer rights act?

Utterly disgusted and would never recommend. Ordered 2 items for Sept delivery date. One arrived four weeks early. Delivered to an unoccupied house being renovated so lucky a tradesman was on site to accept it. It was a few days before I visited so no idea till then item had been delivered. It was badly damaged. Refund or exchange flatly refused as I had not informed them within 48 hours of delivery. (Against sales if goods act rules). After numerous emails back and forth they offered my another item at cost price lol. Fortunately I had used PayPal who found in my favour obviously. Now it gets interesting. Paypal refunded me for both items I had purchased. Suddenly Ergonomics take great interest and want payment back for second item threatening me with legal action. The error clearly lay with PayPal who admitted to them their fault. Now, who do I return the money to. Ergonomics or PayPal. After further legal threats I paid through PayPal to get them off my back. I had never intended not to pay, just wanted to know who I actually owed the money to. I am sure they will have a mountain of excuses and reasons to justify their refusal to deal with the damaged item but trust me, they are breaking Trading Standards and Sale of Goods Act every day.

Shambles of a delivery service!. I recently ordered a shower tray, riser kit and waste kit from ergonomic designs via ideal bathrooms. I had selected a Friday as delivery date at checkout only to receive an email stating the order was being delivered on the Tuesday, first time Ive had to email to get confirmation on the delivery date. Driver arrives on the Friday with the riser kit and waste kit but due to a typo on the invoice reading 0 he couldn’t give me the shower tray. Rather than take another day off work I emailed to change the delivery address to my parents home as they could wait in for it. 3:45pm on the following Monday I email (no number to call due to staff all working from home due to covid…..) to check that the shower tray was arriving today only to get a reply at 5:25pm stating that the delivery was not possible today…. Once again I’ve had to arrange another date for the delivery, I select the following Friday again. I received confirmation of this date at 9:15am on the Wednesday of that week only to receive a phone call from the delivery driver an hour later stating that he is 15 minutes away with the shower tray! I have to leave my work and rush to my parents to allow him to drop off the shower tray. Finally I have the shower tray!! Phone rings the following day stating that a different delivery driver is now outside with my shower tray that was delivered the day before! Long story short, this company have terrible organisation/communication skills with the suppliers. If you are ordering expect you’re delivery to perhaps not arrive when requested.

It doesn’t match other white gloss products.

Hi, This is part of the BTL Alba range. There are thousands of shades of white. This item will only match white gloss units from within the BTL Alba range. Not all manufacturers will use the same shade of white which is why it is important to only buy from within the same range if you require an exact match. This is not a fault with the product.

Ordered shower head, wanted to return it, sent email within 7 days to inform them. They eventually accepted my return but charged me £125 restock fee!!! I was also accused of scratching the shower head, I hadn’t even opened the box. It was returned unopened as it was originally delivered. Shame on you!

Quick despatch but product is of very poor quality, not fit for purpose. Very disappointed. Will return.

Worktop we had was damaged one side so went to reverse so this was hidden rather than return item and found a defect in build as edge wasn't straight. Raised this with their customer service team per policy found on website and didn't want to know or honour this. Very disappointed all for the sake of a £34 worktop having spent a few hundred pounds on two bathrooms through them.

I am unsure how to resolve this for you, we offered to collect the item for a refund and you advised to cancel the collection. We can arrange for a collection once again. You have advised you do not want to return it however you are asking for a refund, we cannot offer a refund unless the item is returned. Please advise if you would like the collection rebooking of the item if you do not want us to do this i am unsure how to move forwards on this.

The fact that I have received an email to write a review for an order they had to refund as could not deliver as agreed says it all about this companies service! They asked me to wait In all day to sign for something even though they had our private gate code and then failed to deliver and then told me I had to take another day off work as they needed a signature even though I advised a coded secure place to leave. Use at your own risk of time and effort

I am sorry to hear that you are not happy with our service, however we feel that the account you have portrayed above is very misleading and not accurate to the events that happened. You emailed us on the day of delivery, which we had emailed to advise of, advising that the telephone number you had provided was incorrect, and that you also had a gate code. This was not provided in the customer notes section when the order was placed, and was unfortunately too late to pass onto the driver. He was also unable to contact you, as the number provided when you placed your order, was incorrect. When the team replied to you to say that they would do their best to get the correct details and gate code to the driver before he attempted delivery, you then advised that there wasn't actually anyone at home to take delivery of the order, but that your partner might be at home when the driver arrived, if not you would like delivery the following day, which the team did reply to to say wasn't going to be doable as delivery was already out. By this stage it was into the afternoon, and delivery had already been attempted, but the driver could not gain access, and no one was available to sign for the items. We offered an alternative date for delivery, but you advised no one could be at home at any time to sign for the delivery, and as we cannot just leave items (this is to protect ourselves and you), that you would like the order cancelled for refund, which we promptly obliged with. We do advise this in our terms and conditions which you have to accept prior to placing an order, in our delivery information section, and on your despatch email. I am surprised to see that you are unhappy with the service when you have had extensive contact with our team and at no point expressed this, in fact you have thanked us for our help and apologised for providing the incorrect details. We would have been happy to address this for you, if you had raised any concerns at that point.

This is the shorter version of my review… If you looking for a good product then "avoid" buying this specific “TrayMate” tray as we have had bad experience after installation. The manufacturer response received on feedback was out of date on letter head 2020 after the issue was reported.. Also the Tray is “NOT2 life time guarantee as advertised as in manufactures response given to me confirms that it only gives 50yrs. The tray thickness is 25mm on outer side which goes to 10mm to centre resin. The tray is made from Resin which the Manufacturer could not even provide a good response or defend on the product manufactured and sold. Our Builder who has 14yrs experience in the trade of Bathroom and Kitchen fitting is well known locally for his workmanship and I was told the tray was not installed properly. The tray laid on 6mm Cement board resting on "2in by 4in" wood frame was not sufficient enough and should have used the plastic legs for support (seriously... don’t work for DIY store, will get people laughing at comments such as this). Delivery for the product was on time but customer service from one of the staff was "nonexistence" as not having a clue from the photo provided by me to them cannot tell the difference between statement "5 thin strips of wood" (their response) to 2"4" wood used (absolutely no idea in sizes and being a KEYBOARD WORRIER). Also I got told to go and have a look at the manufacturer’s instructions, but I brought the product form Ergonomic so why wouldn’t I contact them first. When re-checked the instructions on the Ergonomics website it was highlighted that their own website was not showing full instruction (page 2 missing). There’s also spelling mistake of (desperately instead of separately spelt). Poor, lack of description and information which is out of date on website. This went on for a week on exchange of emails (I give them 10 out of 10 for consistence response for the emails, must of wasted company money for the time spent telling me what I should do and where I should go to get additional information). I Got offered cost price tray either same one or similar one, where I responded to state I was already in progress of buying another one due to lack of support and “Blame Game” (should of offered the insensitive prior to calling a builder inexperience and wasting everyone’s else’s time. Ordered the tray from another supplier which cost me £68 “no delivery” charges but I paid £113 + delivery from Ergonomic and hassle on top of it. Received new tray and sat on the same “bed” frame of 2” 4” inch wood with 6mm Cement board and “wala” no issue.. and same “resin” material….. I paid for another tray as I would need to get one anyway, but Ergonomics has lost a customer and maybe more as word of mouth on product brought soon travels to others and the builder will not recommend this now as he was also blamed.

Disappointing service. Quick enough to take tour money, extremely slow to advise product is out of stock. Was advised dated for deliveries. 1 turned up on date specified, when second didn’t turn up, I went into their live chat to be advised I shouldn’t of received this date as it’s out of stock. When spending as much as we did this was extremely poor.

Having to return an item, being charged £30 for the privilege, plus the £10 delivery charge. They have made £40 of me.... avoid this company

Terrible service, I ordered Franke sink which turned out to be too big and I wanted to exchange. At the end I ended up buying elsewhere as I waited for an email response for 2 weeks. Not to mention the return delivery charge up to £45 for, whereas, the DPD is less than £10, never ordering from here again.

If I could give a 0 I would. Firstly I spent over £1200.00 with this company then to find out they would add a hefty delivery charge. My order arrived for my new house which was a building site so my wife checked the items and stored the goods to fit at a later date. Upon opening the boxes I found that the £217.00 Toilet had no cistern ... I contacted the company who told me that I had to select the cistern to be added. It was a mistake on my half but I stated that the picture was of a toilet with a cistern on it and I considered it not clearly advertised . After speaking to an advisor who told me I need to pay an extra £84.00 to get a cistern, i asked them if I could return the item to which they told me I would have to pay the collection charge and a 25 % restocking charge. I then asked them to consider waiving the delivery charge as a good will gesture if I ordered the cistern from themselves... the answer was No. Absolutely disgusting customer service. I advise anyone to think twice before purchasing anything from the company.

An example for poor communication and delivery. My experience with ErgonomicDesign has been an appalling waste of my and every ones time and effort. A kitchen tap was despatched very very late and incorrectly labelled/communicated with your carrier with the wrong address. Then after your team have eventually found where it was delivered, I (not happy due to the COVID risk) went around to a village neighbour to collect it, only to find it had been picked up by the carrier yesterday and taken away back to BASE 30 miles away. (when we are only 200m away) a total utter fiasco. I asked for this to be relayed to other ED colleagues involved. Please refund forthwith.
