“Not sure if this is the right breakdown cover required for us, as some of the information wasn't available until the purchase had been carried out. Legally there is a 'cooling off' period, but there was also a £10 admin fee to cancel (which also wasn't made clear beforehand!) I just hope that if we do breakdown, we get the service we were hoping for?”

Mr Moorley, Thank you for your comments. We would be interested to hear which elements of our cover were not accessible until such time you had purchased. Our policy wording is freely available prior to purchase and our terms and conditions are clearly stated and have to be agreed to prior to even an initial quotation being generated. “I had to wait just over an hour which I found a little disappointing but when the breakdown truck arrived the service was very good and helpful and the mechanic was polite, friendly and courteous.”

“Hi, The web site is hard to follow, I kept going over the same pages. Its not clear enough. I found it hard to find my saved policy, then had to re-do it for the third, again. At the end I didn't know if I purchased the breakdown cover or not, checked my email and had no conformation to tell me I was covered. Cheap breakdown cover though, lets hope the cover isn't as bad as the web-site.”

“I was on hold for only a few seconds before the phone was answered, the operator was polite and dealt with my problem quickly. I was only waiting an hour or so before the rescue vehicle arrived so was definitely impressed!”

“I Recently joined and had the misfortune of breaking down today due to my head gasket blowing... my car head gasket I should say, mine blew a little later in the day! I called for assistance at 13.30 today and was told it would be up to an hour and a half wait due to them being very busy. Bare in mind that we are not experiencing freezing temps nor are we in the middle of a heatwave so there isn't an increase in breakdowns due to severe weather conditions etc. An hour and a half past and reaching two hours I called to chase them up. I was told the driver would be 20mins to half an hour...... half an hour past and I called again to be told they would chase the driver and get back to me. They called me back shortly after to say they could not get hold of the driver.. how very frustrating. Eventually the driver turned up at 17.00 saying 'Sorry, traffic was bad getting here' from there depot 4 miles up the road! The contracted recovery driver was representing his company well, wearing Grey baggy tracky bottoms and trainers with the laces undone.. smart! Disappointing thing is, my sister has recently past her test and started driving and was going to get the same cover as I have here, but as suggested by my father, she is going to pay a little more and go with one of the more well known company's.... well worth the extra I'd say!”
