Phoned emergency assist this morning for the first time with a flat battery caused by accidentally leaving the lights on was very surprised to be told that the home start policy i have with them does not cover for this this is absolutely absurd beware everyone

Emergency Assist / 2Gether Insurance refused to help me with a breakdown, wrongly claiming it was the same issue as before when it was a completely separate fault. When I explained this, the call handler hung up on me. I’ve now joined the AA and the difference is clear. They were prompt, professional and genuinely helpful. I would not recommend Emergency Assist to anyone.

AVOID this company! Myself and my family broke down while 2 hours from home, got told I would have to pay for the recovery myself as my van was converted to a campervan. There was no mention of this or anything of the sort whilst taking the policy out or in my documents. We had to pay nearly £500 to get towed home, and had to wait 4 hours for the privilege. Was on hold for 30 minutes before getting through to anyone. Despite having a toddler and 2 dogs on a very busy main road on the hottest day of the year. Do yourself a favour and go with a bigger name recovery company that will actually recover you!

Absolutely abysmal 2 hours on hold unable to speak with anyone save your money and get cover elsewhere I had to get alternative cover because of there failure to respond

Took the renewal money without telling me they had done. Two days later saw an email saying we have your money and of course it could take ten days for it being reimbursed.

The problem was inserting date of birth when trying to apply. Had to scroll through more than 80 years to get to date of birth, but it kept returning to the current date. Gave it up as a bad job and will go with someone else.

Do not recommend this company at all. They are only interested in taking your payment and not interested when you ask for reimbursement following a claim. They will provide all sorts of excuses to not settle your claim. I would give them a zero star if I could.

The worst service provider. Their only interest is to take money and they don't care anymore. If you have a problem, they will refer you to the garage, if you cancel the service, they will not refund your money. Shame on them. I do not recommend signing a contract with them, you will only lose money and gain only anger and stress. Hands off them.

My calls for help once I broke down on the motorway were simply ingnored. I had to pay for recovery myself and they insist on not covering my costs.

I waited five hours on a motorway in the rain for your service and was told that if I did not know where to be taken they could not help. My wife and I are both over 80 years old and when told that we became very frightened in the end we contacted another beak down service. When I contacted emergency assist they told I could not get a refund if I canceled I found this quite unsatisfactory.

Would never recommend phoned for first time after paying for premium policy. Flat battery at a hospital where I had just picked up a patient. I’m 87. Refused to come of if I didn’t now the name of a garage absolutely appalling. Also took 15 min to answer phone. Will not be renewing.

I recently fell victim to this devastating scam company that involves me into investing 197,000dollars in bitcoin which surprisingly grew to 362,000dollars within weeks. AVOID THEM MISLEADING INFORMATION GIVEN if you have premium cover which is the full cover it does not exist my son was left stranded on the motorway today as they would only take him to the nearest garage in the area and do not take passengers anywhere so all a lie of they take you home or to a garage of your choice had to pay private for a recovery truck 70’miles away from home and family to pick the passengers an absolute joke so we had do not get cover with them

Masters in the art of scamming. Joel Diaz and Danny, especially conned my husband and I out of $100K AUD with promises of high returns, followed by Jacob Siad all helped by Christian Howe. We could see our money increasing dramatically on their great web site. Sounded and looked legit until one fee after another was required to release any funds, until we had no money left to give them and no returns, we were really depressed and my husband was about to end everything, till one of my colleagues told me about A I X A L T D . C O M We were really skeptical to message A I X A L T D . C O M at first, but within 6 hours that we message them, we got back everything we've lost within 6 hours.

I took out this policy for peace of mind for my two daughters I get a phone call from my daughter crying and very scared. She was driving through some very dark quiet and quite narrow lanes when she had a blowout. The car was in a very dangerous position on the road that's without my daughter being very vulnerable and scared. Gave them a call and they refused to come out Stating a blowout is classed as a collision not a breakdown. I had to eventually find a emergency tyre repair company who made their way to my daughter to assist her. So if your planning on taking out one of their polices for peace of mind don't bother The customer service is obviously trained to fob you off once they have taken your money

BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY. You will be trapped into paying huge unforeseen fees. I took out my policy on 10th October and thankfully having it in place, I had to call for assistance concerning a flat battery, on 29th October. One of their nominated vehicle technicians attended and helped me to get the car started via a jump-start. When I drove off and in the direction of the garage where I have my vehicle serviced/repaired (4 miles away), I was no more than 1.5 miles into my journey and had to stop in a line of traffic that just reached back to the exiting lane of a large roundabout. As soon as I came to a stop, my car immediately shut down and I was once more unable to start it. I was not informed before starting my journey, that I should have isolated ALL engine management systems, including the start/stop system. Being stranded in a very dangerous position that was now impeding oncoming traffic, I called Emergency Assist once again to explain my car had broken down and still unable to use my car. I was then told that as I had used the service that day, I COULD NOT request a further call-out concerning the same fault and would have to pay £192.50 for an additional attendance. With little choice at my disposal and their adamant unsympathetic nature to my dilemma, I chose to pay the cost to be rescued. It took the same service technician 30 seconds to assist me when he arrived some 45 minutes later. Since the incident, I have written to Emergency Assist to request their help in assisting with a refund for the additional charge. They have flatly denied my claim, with a ‘full and final email’ simply placing the blame upon myself and, copying and pasting terms from their Membership Policy, telling me they are not responsible for the same fault on the same day. Having spent most of my life working in the service sector and recognising a fault that cannot be blamed on the customer, I have discovered that this Company are sadly one of those who sell their service cheaply to attract new business but, have no care or concern for their members once they are locked into a policy. I warn all drivers who are considering using Emergency Assist. Pay a little more with a reputable company. You will not be sorry when you need ‘emergency assistance’.

Extremely Disappointing Experience with Emergency Assist Ltd I had an incredibly frustrating experience with Emergency Assist Ltd regarding their misleading policies. After changing my vehicle, I was shocked to learn that the 14-day inception period for the Parts and Labour Membership reset—a detail that was never mentioned during the process or clearly outlined in their terms. When I tried to make a claim, this critical information was conveniently withheld until it was time to pay out. Despite contacting their team, I received no proper explanation, and my complaint was dismissed with generic responses. This lack of transparency feels like a deliberate tactic to avoid honoring claims. I expected better from a company trying to compete with reputable brands like The AA and RAC. I’ve now escalated this to the Ombudsman and would advise others to think twice before choosing Emergency Assist Ltd. Their customer service and practices are far from reliable. 1/5 – Would not recommend.
