Not needed to use your services yet but was sent a renewal on the 10th January which showed a 10% increase on last year.Renewal was due 16th January. You took the money out of my account on the 11th January-5 days before renewal due which gave me no chance of seeking an alternative. These shady practices need to stop.!!!

First it took over 10 minutes on the phone to get through to someone. Then I was told response time would be 60-90 minutes but I had to wait almost 2 hours. However once he got there he was efficient and helpful

I am not aware who Emergency Assist are, yet they took money from bank account before sending me any communication. I can only assume that Emergency Assist are a sister Company to 2ogether Insurance who I had breakdown cover with last year. Because the policy is only £18 for the year I am willing to keep it but I do not appreciate being railiroaded into a contract that I don't know about. I do not give authorisation for any automatic renewals in the future.

Want to do good and bad points. Good - Haven't had to use the service yet (touch wood) but kept cost same as last year. Bad - My cover last year was with 2Gether. The communication that Emergency Assist had merged with 2Gether wasn't clear. I had to ring up and ask what was happening as I'd never heard of EA before. I was very surprised I didn't block my 'renewal' email from EA as it was a company I'd never heard of and could very easily have been one of the numerous spam emails I get.

I was not advised by the mechanic who attended to jump start my car that I must take my car to the garage to get the battery changed, as far as I was concerned, the problem was fixed. When I called back again approximately 1 month later for the same problem, I was told I would be charged £90+ for the call out as I had not taken my car to the garage after the first instance. As a lay person, I had no idea that was necessary, as far as I was concerned, the car had been fixed at the roadside. I have written to complain, but 21 days later I am still awaiting a response.

The phone call went very well and I was very pleased with this. We advised them we had 2 adults, 1 child and a dog. We waited longer than the 90 minutes advised, but weren't too upset about that. However the recovery driver was just awful. He was rude, impolite, didn't listen to us when we explained that we had told the call advisor to drop us off en route to the garage as he was going past our house. He said we couldn't take our dog at first, but we explained this had been agreed. He was constantly "huffing and puffing" and made us feel we were causing him a major inconvenience. It was quite awful. I have a disability and I am glad my husband was with us, otherwise the experience would have had a detrimental effect to my health. I have never experienced a recovery like it. We had broken down with our very poorly dog and son and were treated with contempt by this awful man.

I have only just purchased this policy online but had a few questions. I therefore rang the customer services on a few occasions and both times was spoken to quite rudely and felt rushed as though they wanted me to get of the phone as soon as possible. I have never experienced this before and felt quite saddened. I may have been unlucky with the 2 people I spoke to and the rest may be fine but it was not a very pleasant experience.

Hi Catherine, Thank you for your comments. Depending on the issue with the vehicle, a roadside repair, temporary or otherwise, is not always possible due to limitations and therefore a straight recovery is unavoidable. Regards 2Gether Motor Breakdown Team
